NAS Oceana air show + spotting 2017

Here's my set from the NAS Oceana air show. The weather was utter crap as usual, you can than hurricane Jose sitting 250 miles offshore for that, but it made for some awesome low lever vapour coming off the Hornets. It did mean that the air power demo was cancelled because of it but at least the 2 aggressor Hornets beat up the airfield a bit.

Weather always seemed dark and gloomy whenever I was up there. Still trying to decide if I like the VFC-12 "B" model in the Fullback scheme. Nice shots.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. The day after we did the NAS Oceana air show we did half a days spotting by the approach at NAS Oceana, endless Hornets to be expected but some really nice surprises as well, chief among which was an AC-130W from Cannon AFB I believe. Unfortunately hurricane Jose was still pretty close by so low cloud & the occasional light rain shower was the order of the day. Like being back in Britain really
