One of the best photos I have ever scene of a launch....
On a side note...try youtube and check out some of the more recent launch videos. The sound of this beast leaving is incredible.

Amen! I teared up a bit during the launch. During the 7 years I was at the Cape "Discovery" was my shuttle. It was the one I always seemed to be supporting at the TAL sites and I also had the honor of supporting the STS-114 Ferry Flight. She will be missed.

Anyway, besides this interesting background it's always nice to have a visual impression of the guys active in this forum. To be honest I had a different picture of you in mind: a short and thin guy Sometimes my mind is cheating on me.
