Four Eurofighter Typhoon Air Forces United in Exercise
13/3/2008
Hallbergmoos, 13 March 2008. For the first time, all four Eurofighter Typhoon core Air Forces from Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom combined their skills for a mutual exercise at Morón Air Force Base, near Sevilla, upon invitation of the Spanish Air Force. Codenamed “Typhoon Meet”, the deployment commenced on Monday 10 March and officially ends on Friday 14 March.

Now this would be nice to see in FS9!
Nick: it is stated there that over 140 aircrafts have been built so far. How many of them have been repainted for FS9 yet?

Oh alright then, yes it is Austria. At least 5 have been delivered and at least 3 others had flown by the end of December.
It seems that when they renegotiated their deal, and cut the number from 18 to 15, the make up of the deal became available. All 15 are the equivalent of the RAF F2 standard, i.e. no two seaters, they will not have PIRATE, they will not have any GA capability and they will not have BVR missiles.
Apparently they wanted brand new aircraft as they will last 40 years.

For now, yes, dont know when Saudi Arabia will take over its first onesbtaylo24 wrote:RAF/Spain/German Eurofighter packages have been released!
So only one more left?!!
There are possibly other buyers but they have not made their decisions so far. Anyway, IF others place orders I doubt they will receive their first aircrafts prior 2013. Dont know if I still use FS9 then
BTW: Did anyone try the little games at the Eurofighter site?

The Saudi Typhoons are already on the production line, they took over early Tranche 2 UK slots. The UK was quite happy to push their numbers back down the line to get them delivered with later block specs.
The Saudis get them in service this year, I believe that they get something like 8 out of the next 50. I also understand that the RAF would be more than happy to give up early tranche 3 slots for export customers, which would mean that 2011 delivery date could be possible.
