This way isn't it time to prepare a MAIW package "Polish F-16s"? 8)

An update:
now there are four of them: 3 F-16C Block 52+ and one F-16D Block 52+.

So fresh that their arrival was two days late because of a refueling system problems on one of them, just over the Atlantic Ocean ...
Not much time was left to fully test 'em :?

It will be a real fun to see a training fight between both Polish F-16 and Mig-29

Polish name for F-16s is "Jastrząb" [Yastshob], well not to easy to spell by foreigners. It means "Goshawk", btw.
There was a PZL-50 "Jastrzab" fighter prototype in 1939 ...:

OK, Poland will have 8 F-16 till the end of 2006, and 48 total until 2009.

PS. I've just seen a very interesting Russian series Udarnaya sila (Strike Force), a Mig-29 part. They said that during fighting tests between Mig-29 and F-16 in France, in the end of 80's, F-16 won JUST 1 fight in 50, over Mig-29 ?!?

Things have changed a lot since the 80s. That weapon system has now been studied in some detail and tactics specific to defeating it have been developed since then.

Of course, there is always the human factor - an experienced/expert pilot who knows both his aircraft and his opponents' has a better chance of killing an opponent if his opponent possess the same knolwedge (possibly) regardless of the aircraft involved. Ex., Vietnam-era F-4s vs Mig-17/19s - huge shift over time as new tactics were developed and American pilots became trained in dogfighting again.

Bump, re-vitalizing

There are some rumors here, that Polish F-16 pilots will be trained in Israel.
Israelis say: "Well, The Americans tought you how to fly. We will teach you how to fight".

You lucky

You have got your first (modern) fighters in real-
but I´m in Austria always waiting for our first Typhoon  !

I hope I can use it in FS in the near future, as well I can use the Polish F16 today.

Really ?

I only saw pics of the first Austrian - Typhoon, flying in the provisional markings of the Austrian Airforce in Germany
But - this is not for this Polish-F16-Topic. I´ll post in future at the Typhoon-Topic.
