Just finished re-reading the MAIW install guide; No problems for most packages, but a few are exhibiting some strange behavior on the grounds....wanted to make sure that the VTPP, VTPX, and LWM2 files are NOT supposed to be carried over to FSX? Thanks in advance!

Felix31, I too re-read the FSX install guide and at times have left them in to do a quick check of the new scenery. I generally go back and delete them per the guide and never really noticed any strange behavior for the most part. So, REMOVE them per the guide to be safe.

All of those files will call upon FS9 default textures. Having those files in your FSX folders probably isn't a good thing. They may do nothing or they may be wasting CPU resources.

Yes, that still is true - all file types mentioned above can not be taken over
