Flight Plans All The Same

Post by Reggie »

This may be a stupid question but I downloaded the NAS Lemoore v2 package and placed it in FSX. I noticed that there are only a two aircraft on the tarmac (the same two).

When I looked at the flight plans with AIFP3, I noticed that they were all the same and each started and ended at the same time. All of the dates and times are "zeros".
Am I missing something here? Wouldn't each flight plan start on different days and at different times? Is this the reason there are no aircraft showing up?

Here's some examples:

That is wrong for sure. You just used the "Bulk Traffic" menu to convert?

I didn't use the "Bulk Traffic" feature. I have to delete about half of the aircraft and flight plans to keep the FPM rate at a decent level. Then I just click the "Select Compile Parameters" box, change the suffix to "FSX", then close and click "Compile".

So there must be something going on in the AIFP program?

I think so, but not sure what you did with those. I would convert the .bgls with the Bulk Traffic menu, "Convert FS9 to FSX" function. Then open the newly converted file and change your traffic % to help with the frame rates. You can also try my technique to simulate deployments since real world not every squadron is home at Lemoore. I have individual traffic files for each squadron. You will lose 3-4 squadrons depending on air wing.

There is also a FSX built Lemoore scenery that might help.

Well, the first thing I did was update AIFP to the current version. That was a big help. Then I followed your directions and now - aircraft everywhere!
I haven't divided the traffic files up into individual squadrons, but that's a great idea too. Have it down for my weekend project.
Thanks for the assist Chris, much appreciated.

Reggie its been 5 years since I made this package, but I'm sure I divided the traffic BGL up by carrier wing of 2010. This was to make it easy for users to just remove certain traffic BGL to replicate carrier deployments and reducing the 290 Hornets at NAS Lemoore.

Love this package.

Reggie, done the same with the non-MAIW Oceana Hornets package. This area for me is a framerate killer with all the busy mil/civ airports within the AI "bubble".

Outstanding package indeed! I've got the same flight plan set. But i just have to cut each squadron down to about 10 aircraft to keep the frame rate down.

Had to do the same for Oceana. But I've still got plenty of aircraft. I don't know if I need a better video card or what I need to do to be able to have complete packages.

Thanks all for the assist.
