Coming very, very soon......Sembach AB

Post by delbydoo »

With scenery by Brian Clarke, repaints by Chris A. Brown and flightplans for the EC-130's by yours truly, we are proud to present Sembach Air Base, West Germany 1990.

Image

Sembach was the home of the 66th Electronic Combat Wing, which flew EC-130E's with the 43rd ECS, and was responsible for the EF-111A's of the 42nd ECS at Upper Heyford.

Image

It also housed the 601st Tactical Air Control Wing, equipped with the OV-10B Bronco.

Image

Sembach was also used as a Forward Operationg Location for the A-10A's of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, usually based in the UK at Woodbridge/Bentwaters.

Image

I am hoping to get this out by the end of the day - will let you know when it is uploaded.

I was going to say you're on a roll Daryl, but between this and the Ravens, I have to declare that I think you're on a floury bap!! :smt005

Looks really good.

What are you trying to say Stew? That I'm a round, soft and flaky? Spot on mate

Most of the credit has to go to Brian though, this is his first scenery attempt using ADE, and was gobsmacked by what he'd done when he sent me his first go at it......there will be more from him coming up, but that's under wraps at the moment

You need any callsigns made, or do you have that in hand?

Mind you having said that, if you can find any others besides GROUCH that they used at the time, I'd appreciate it. Don't know if the current 43rd still use the same now as they did then.

I'll post some here this evening mate - if you have already released it, no matter as folks can add the callsigns in themselves.

Should keep it simple mate, something like;

"Here it is - if you don't like it, sod off!"

Can't wait to see it. I was a SP station there 81-84. I guarded the OV-10's and A-10's. Left before the EC-130's. To bad there is no AI CH-53's to include in the package.

I think the runway is a little too high... (See Attached.)
Anyone else having this same problem?
