USAF Blunt Nose Bent Wing Warriors
Just a head's up to everyong that I'm in the early stages putting some together repaints for the Michael Pearson/Nick Black F-4C and F-4D Phantoms as they were operated in the final years of service from about 1987 to 1992. Not sure as of yet when I'll have the first ones out, but I'm hoping within the next couple of weeks.

Re: USAF Blunt Nose Bent Wing Warriors
Looking good, RAF Bentwaters 81st TFW F4C changed over to F-4D, tail codes, 78th TFS "Bushmasters" WR red tail stripe, 91st WS Blue, 92nd WT Yellow, (I'm sure there was another TFS with codes WB based at Woodbridge) apparantly codes all changed to WR in 1972 Not sure where to get serials from. I was lucky enough to sit in one when I was with the ATC in 1971, I still have a firing pin from the underbelly gun pod given to me by the pilot. i think it was 672 or 692

Re: USAF Blunt Nose Bent Wing Warriors
Thanks for the info. I've got the serials for the F-4C's but haven't come up with all of the F-4D's other than through pictures. I'll start this one after I've got the rest of my F-4D's done, maybe by then I'll have all the info I need for Bentwaters.

I can remember my brother and I watching them arrive as we lived close to the flightpath, most if not all, were grey coloured. They were replacing the Voodoo's at the time, one came over our house at about 600ft! wheels and flaps down with 5 miles to run in?

I grew up with the sounds of RF-4C's flying over my house as I only lived a short distance from the airport. I still can hear the sounds of a pair of roaring J79's!!!
