RAFG Phantoms

Post by delbydoo »

To compliment Dale's UK Phantoms, I have started the RAFG machines, circa 1970-72(ish) for those interested. The serials and codes are correct as far as I know. Units covered will be Nos. 14, 17 & 31 Sqns at Bruggen and 2 Sqn at Laarbruch.
I have got the main unit markings done now, just got to do the individual aircraft; I believe there were 15 per squadron in Germany, as opposed to 12 in the UK but if anyone can clarify I would be grateful.

Really marvellous paints, Delbydoo. As designer of RAF Bruggen, I'm looking very forward to see also these birds uploaded near future!

Here you go guys, a little later than predicted. I haven't done any plans for them, I just altered Menno's RAFG Tornado plans to suit.
Will be uploaded to avsim as well, for those who don't want to use the skydrive link.

I need to make an apology to Menno......unfortunately I included my variation of his flightplans from the Tornado era in this zip, which I wasn't meant to do, as I did not have permission from him to do so. I have corrected this and removed the plans from the zip. Sorry Menno.

Hi, Daryl;

Thanks! I am a big fan of retro, especially USAFE in the 70's. I was at Hahn AB when they were still flying the F-4D and F-4E Phantoms. It was awesome watching the Zulu alert birds scramble.

I appreciate all of your hard work, along with all the MAIW staff and contributors!

Nice phantoms Daryl, no problem using the flightplans, just give me some credits in the readme.

Thank you so much for these Daryl. I dread to think how long it took you to do these.

Like Ron I also deeply appreciate the time and effort you and fellow Contributors of the MAIW team & community put into keep our skies filled.

I've got these launching out of Bruggen already, need to get my Laarbruch sorted and they'll be launching out of there too :D .

What with Wildenrath just up the road, they'll be flying out of there too, I currently have the 19 & 92 sqd birds in there with the later Air Defence Grey scheme

Thank you again
