Thoughts on the next project
Re: Thoughts on the next project
My vote would be the S-92...Not too many configurations but active with a fair few military operators AND civilian! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_S-92
Then there is also the AW101 active with so many military and civil organisations and again only a couple of variations to them.
Anything you do is massively appreciated though - my flight sim world would be a darker place without your contributions!

Hi. I think it's time for some vintage suggestions.
Very cool is the early jet age with the F-84 family, the F-89 or the F-94. Also the Tunnan or Mystere or MiG-15.
Best regards and wishes.

Surely it would be only fair to include the A,E and IM versions as well in that case.

Re: Thoughts on the next project
Thanks you for those additional suggestions. I just wanted to record two others so they are included here when I refer back from time to time. That's a Nimrod from Martin and a Hawkeye from Steve.
At the moment, I'm assembling the available plans for the C-130J and C-130J-30 and photos of the specials. Once I'm happy with the plans, I'll set them up in Gmax and see if I can make progress with the nose and cockpit. From then on it's only two base models with 8 "load-outs/lumps/bumps and aerials" Quite doable I think, if I can contain the paints.

Regarding C-130 , is 8-bladed prop accepted and implemented on some aircraft ?

Hi John
A new C- 130 would be great JP3/5 as well
Another thought would be the Andover HS748
Cheers

The 8 bladed prop is an experimental upgrade for the C-130Hs remaining in Air Guard and Reserve service. They are also doing an engine swap to RR TF-56 3.5s. The test is supposed to run through 2020. Of course, they did the same test back in 2010 with just the props (no engine change).
Re: Thoughts on the next project
Wildcat maybe? Frankly, whatever you turn your hand to will be brilliant so I doubt if any of us are really too fussed!
Re: Thoughts on the next project
Dutch F16 would be a nice project next for fs2004
Re: Thoughts on the next project
I can answer this one. There are two guys that are moving their way, very slowly, through the F-16 models (as you might be aware). There intention is to complete the family including the Block 1/5/10 and 15 aircraft originally ordered plus the Block 20 aircraft after the MLU.
The guys decided to start from the latest Blocks and work there way towards the early blocks rather than the other way around.
In short because of this John will not be doing any F-16s.

You got there before me Steve. I concur, F-16's are definitely not on my list.

I know it's not a wishlist threat, but so many suggestions were made. So John, if you ever will fall into a deep deep hole of baredom and need a real challenge (no, no....just a joke....):
- Westland Wessex
- Westland Lynx
Just a thought, because currently no other technician seems to be able to design helo AIs like that quality....

There are some nice choices in this thread Manfred, so I'm going to make a little list. Just when I thought I was running out of ideas......

I second that, we need some vintage jets to go with the B-36 and B-47....

Re: Thoughts on the next project
Those are quite interesting John, but I think there's a higher priority for other aircraft according to the list. It's also good to support those designers who are beavering away with scenery too and that creates at least one another option. Just the C-130s for the RAF, Canada and Italy to finish first and I'll start reviewing.
