Hi gents, downloaded and installed latest repaint by Jim Rodger and, also this time, I have some problems in my FS9.
I usually install and merge the new repaints under two main directory, one for the "short" C-130 and one for the "longest" C-130-30, update the aircraft.cfg accordingly and create a test flightplan to verify that all is working fine.
Here my problem:
JYAI_Portuguese_C130.zip I can't see the three C-130H-30, ok two C-130H
JYAI_Spanish_C130.zip I can't see the three C-130H-30, ok the C-130R and KC-130H
JYAI_Omani_C130_AL1.zip All is fine
JYAI_Swedish_C130_AL1.zip Can't see nothing
JYAI_Indian_C130.zip I can see only last two texture Texture.IAF_KC3811 and Texture.IAF_KC3813, not the other nine aircraft.
Have anyone tested that all the aircraft are visible in FS9?

Hi Gorgio,
While I have not installed these C-130 repaints I would suggest to use the AI Aircraft Editor which checks the aircraft.cfg file for errors.

You are probably missing various models required in the packages. Have another read of the "Readme.txt"

I wasn't going to reply, as I tend to pull packages apart to make them fit my personal; system, but I do remember one thing. Some of the C-130s had the wrong air file named in the cfg file.

What Steve said, is correct, in fact the problem with the Swedish has gone.
I've found that the texture for the Spanish KC-130 is 2048 x 2048. Saved in 1024 x 1024 DXT3, but no result.
All the model needed are in the directory as I have all the C-130 published up to now

I checked another package, the Indiians, and put in the textures unchanged, added the cfg entries unchanged and added the traffic file unchanged. AIFP showed up no errors and neither did ACA2017.
Is it a parking spot issue on your afcad?
The Spanish C-130H-30 I just loaded in DXTBmp and saved it as a 32 bit texture.
Then loaded it into MS Paint and resized it and saved it as a 24 bit bmp.
Then I was reloaded it into DXTBmp and added an export I had made earlier of a JYAI C-130H alpha.
When I saved it as a DXT3 it loaded absolutely fine.
What does that leave?

No Steve, I'm testing on my test airport. That is not the issue.
For the Spanish, I did the same (for the 130H30, not the kc) I'll re do the process Tomorrow. may be I did something wrong.
Also Portugal needs check.

You are doing fine, keep the repaints up. I run them through AIFP and Martin's AIAE for each package. Small misspelling in the Portuguese flightplans, aircraft.cfg lists "JYAI_C-130_FAP_xxxx" while FPs has "JYAI_C-130_PAF_xxxx".

I rechecked the Spanish pack again and the KC birds were fine in the package. The only texture issue was the H-30. So try adding the KC textures again from the pack and see.
On the Indian ones no errors were found in either the plain pack install or my install. The only thing I can think of is the fact that there are two bases and that is somehow contributing to what you see, or don't see.

In the first post, I erroneously highlighted a problem with the KC. In fact the problem is with the texture of the H-30. As said later, I did the same process described by Steve (for the H-30) but probably something went wrong as I can't see it. I'm going to re do the process later. Hope to do all in the right way.
Portuguese
The problem highlighted by Chris, can be solved later. At present, I can see the two JYAI_C130H_FAP_16803 and JYAI_C130H_FAP_16805. I can't see the H-30.
As per all the repaints, I create my AircraftTST.txt compiling it directly from the FltsimXX.txt of every package as follow:

It is suspicious that it seems only to be problems with the stretched birds.

Finally sorted out.
I don't know how or what or when or why that happened but, my previous aircraftTST.txt was in some way corrupted and didn't read the first 13 entries.
Whichever Aircraft I had in the first 13 rows, they didn't show up in FS.
Once I deleted the old Aircraft; Airports and Flifghtplans txt, and recreated from scratch, all work as it should.
At the end, the only real problem, was relevant to the Swedish, that had a wrong sim= row, and with the texture of the Spanish H-30.

With all the excellent C-130 repaints being released at the moment I thought I would share some of mine. I have just uploaded retro repaints for the Hercules C1s and C3s used by the RAF as they were in the 1980s. The Hercules C1 uses the CC-130H73 model, whilst the Hercules C3 uses the CC-130H-30 model. FSX only I'm afraid, I don't have FS9 installed anymore.
