Darren asked me for some C-130 model variations for painting and I was happy to oblige. Other painters may find the files useful too, so I have zipped them up and just sent them for inclusion in the Download Hangar. Essentially, the new models are H-based, with the external tanks removed:

Search for "JYAI C-130 Miscellaneous models for painters FS9 and FSX" in the Aircraft Models section. The Canadian paint kit will be needed to paint these models.

If you want to add a bit more variety to the C-130 line up how about a Fat Albert C-130? I think it would be like the Skibird C-130 with JATO except without the ski's.

Or how about a C-130 with that big lump/done on the rear fuselage https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8896205. I noticed a quite a few of the USAF C-130's have that.

I don't think I do really. We have more than enough C-130's to be getting on with for the moment without further complicating the mix with sensor and JATO variations. I'd rather move on to something more interesting. It was never my intention to cover every conceivable airframe.

I agree that Fat Albert would be great to have. Maybe somebody would be willing to paint it on the most comparable model? I think it was done this way also with the HTAI model.
Cheers,
Martin

The JATO bottles can be painted on the side.

I'll have a go at it.

Fat Albert stopped using JATO bottles several years ago, and was retired last year. The replacement aircraft is a used Hercules C5 from the RAF, that is undergoing maintenance and modification at the moment. It is set to appear for the 2021 season.

Also, I know that Mark made paints of the Dutch Hercs. Where can I find those?

I finished the HC-130Hs stationed at Clearwater CGAS. They should be going out soon along with another USAF squadron. This paint uses the C-130R model as it's the closest to the HC-130H.

The 8 Hercs of the 96th AS based at Minneapolis-St Paul Joint Air Reserve Station have been finished. I'll release these along with the Clearwater HC-130Hs.
