asdro wrote: 30 Nov 2020, 20:21 I have downloaded the package of Dale Ashcroft for Royal Saudi Air Force.

I installed everything but have problems with the FP.

The FP contains 54 C130 wnd it goes of 5Week period.

I tried to convert with AIFP but it only saved as txt files.

When i try to compile with TTool it doesnt work.

I get error messages for the 5Week function and also about the times in the FP.

I really dont know what to do at this point.

Thanks for help.

P.S. i use FS9
That's because multi week flight plans are not compatible with FS9, you'll need to delete anything from week 1/1/ onwards if that makes sense

The problem is that FS9 doesn't use multi-week plans. Ttools was programmed before FSX so multi-weeks will not be recognised.

So you have either got to alter each plan to just one week manually or mod existing plans from another source to fit the package.

With converting multi-week plans start at the first in the list and choose which week you want to convert using AIFP to see what the plans do. Then remove all the other weeks traffic from that list. Then remove the week number coding from each leg you keep. Finally you have to alter the flightplan type to WEEK.
Then repeat for every other aircraft until the list is complete.

The key thing is not to choose a week which ends with the aircraft landing away.

Depending upon the number of aircraft it can be a lengthy operation. The other thing I would say is that you really need a text editor rather than using notepad for doing this. As with a large body of text in notepad it is easy to lose track of what is what. In an ideal world if you have an editor that uses colour coding it will make life so much more simple.

You might be able to do this editing from within AIFP but I have a feeling it won't let you if you only have FS9 installed. I think it just says not compatible.

There is no simple solution I am afraid.

The latest version of AIFP will let you edit multiweek flightplans for use in FS9. I recently modded some multiweek bizjet plans. I would save them as the text files and convert using ttools.

It works now.

I'm not sure if there is a tutorial for converting flightplans. If there is it may in the pdf that comes with AIFP udpate. I just loaded up a flightplan in AIFP and picked a leg I liked, deleted the others and adjusted for the home airport if needed.

Hi Joseph
Have you updated the A-10's and F-15's to the latest models in Glang2?
I would love a copy if you have those :)

Edit
I should also add FSX lol

Cheers

In FS9 if the aircraft appear blank then it is down to a couple of things.

1. The texture name do not match up with the texture= field in the fltsim entry.
2. The folder holding the texture does not start with "texture."
3. The actual bmp in the texture folder does not match what the mdl is looking for.

So it should be easy to work out. I suggest pick the first one that is an issue and find that fault first. Then see how many others have the same error.
Then move onto the next blank texture and keep repeating until they all show.

Also check that the texture has been saved in the right format (Dxt3 for Fs9) and has the alpha channel incorporated.

Just as it says in the folders:

Model name: JYAI_C130B.mdl
Texture name: JYAI_C-130H_t.bmp

Model name:JYAI_C-130_TP84_L100.mdl
Texture name:JYAI_C-130H_t.bmp

Model name:JYAI_C-130_TP84_L100.mdl
Texture name:JYAI_C-130H_t.bmp

Model name: JYAI_KC-130J.mdl
Texture name: JYAI_C-130J_t.bmp, plus JYAI_C-130J_L.bmp for the slime lights.

but which I used KC-130J VMGR-352 MCAS Miramar at the textures did not work and the jyai c130 misc do not have the kc-13j model and a different question how do you refueler jets in mid air I am in a kc-130 j and it does not bring the refueler probe and is they a thing that you can talk to other aircraft to ask them if they need fuel

My KC-130J model is not in the Miscellaneous package, it's in the Iwakuni package:

https://militaryaiworks.com/download-ha ... an-for-fs9

If you want to practice mock air to air refuelling, you need to flight plan the JYAI_KC-130J_drogue model. The manual explains how to do that, but basically the model deploys drogues from the wing pods within an altitude band of between 5000ft and 20,000ft but only when in level flight (+/- 5ft per second). The actual refuelling altitude in all scenarios is the cruise level in the flight plan and is set at 10,000ft in the Iwakuni scenarios.

You cannot request fuel and no fuel is transferred. It's really an exercise to intercept the tanker and stay in formation with it.

So going back to your first question - the one we have been trying to answer for you, which aircraft are producing blank textures for you and what model and texture name are you using?

Just get one of them displaying properly first and the rest should follow.

So, for the "Iraqi c130H", assuming the textures are not displaying, but the model is, could you please copy and paste the entries you have in your repaint set up for the following please:

1. The name of the model file, including the ".mdl" extension (not the folder name).

2. The name of the texture, including the ".bmp" extension

3. The name of one of the texture folders, including the "." prefix.

4. The corresponding "texture=" entry in your aircraft.cfg file.

Please also post the size and format of the repainted texture.

Understood, but you keep diving all over the place, which isn't helping. Better to try and focus down on the key issue you raised initially - how to set up a repaint so that textures are visible? Forget air to air refuelling, 6166 and fltsim1 for the moment.

Are you able to zip up the repaint that you have done for the "Iraqi c130H", including the model file(s), the texture folder(s) and the aircraft.cfg file? you are using. If you can do that, I'll PM you my e-mail address so you can send it to me zip so I can take a look and help you solve the problem that way.
