Hi John, links to many photos for the Italians.
https://www.giorgiociarini.it/index.php ... itare.html
https://www.giorgiociarini.it/index.php ... itare.html
https://www.giorgiociarini.it/index.php ... itare.html

Scenery for LICC Catania Fontanarossa (1LCC for Heli); LIQW Luni Sarzana, Carriers Garibaldi and Cavour all available for FS9.
At least 1LCC and LIQW can be converted for FSX.
LIPC Cervia available for FS9 and FSX

Let me know if you need serials and/or other.

Ciao, Giorgio

Edit: Also LICC and LIQW already available for FSX. Not sure for 1LCC

Thanks Giorgio. I'm only going to make the HH-101A's. The Italian Navy ones would be best generated from John B's Royal Navy models. I'm not planning to get into scenery, overlays and flight plans for 3 sim versions either. It' just too much work across the package for one person.

The HH-101A's look quite stunning in their black scheme, apart from the newest delivery which is in boring grey. I hope the Air Force takes it's time if any retro painting to the same shade of grey is carried out. I want to get in first with the black!

Thank to both John & John.
I can take care for the FP.
I also prefer the black ones! At present, I believe just few example are painted with that boring grey.

Hi Giorgio

Glad you doing the FPs. I haven't a clue where to start. Do the ASW ones operate from the Cavour? If so I'll do the "wet" one too.

These are the 11 Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) HH-101A's listed by Scramble as active. The grey one is recently delivered and the reason for the change of colour, I've read, is not tactical, it's because in the warm Italian summer weather, the cockpit and cabin, gets uncomfortably hot:

I'm going to complete the package with the AW101's operated by Portugal. I can use the Cormorant model quite easily and the camouflage paint scheme should be interesting.

Hi Giorgio

Can you send me the serial numbers of the Marina merlins please. I also need a photo of the words MARINA, the warning arrow on the tail is yellow with a read border. Is the warning in Italian or English? If its Italian can you tell me what is please.

My source of all things Merlin tells me that 3 of the Italian HH-101A's are now in the grey livery, so I have changed the paints accordingly:

I have also added a refuelling probe model option that can be assigned in the aircraft.cfg file to the grey or black aircraft.

JY, great to see that! I can't wait!!!
I've also find three grey serials and confirm why they'll be painted in grey also from direct experience, when I entered in the HH-101 at the static display in Rivolto back in 2015! :D

Vulcan, I'll PM you the serial
Have you had a look at the liks posted above?

About the arrow, in the link posted by Maverick (http://www.drivefly.it/walkaround/agust ... 01-asw.php) there is a good photo of it. Red arrow on yellow, "Danger -> Keep away"

It's a minor detail but there is no longer a roundel above the windscreen on the HH101s

I'm not going to touch the Japanese variants at the moment. There's a whole load of those.

Correct, they are called Caesar's.

I'm not planning to make Saudi, Turmeni and Algerian variants. I've learned so far that no country has unique models - there is always something different in each - maybe the door type or the window arrangements, never mind the nose. I want to see how people make use of what I've made so far before contemplating more A101 models and paints.
