So is it just HF2 that doesn't like the decimal in the mdl folder name or was it earlier versions too?

I have tried only HF2 Steve,

The scenery is USDD, Salekhard at avsimrus and created for P3Dv2, which is by-the-by as it works fine. (I followed MAIW instructions on converting to FSX/P3D re. VTP/LWM/EXCL and CVX layers.)

The AI package (+missing aircraft.cfg file) are here...
http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-ai-tra ... 23366.html
http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-ai-tra ... 23387.html
(I converted the models with ModelConverterX, though I still don't know how to handle the effects properly.)

I did not realise originally that Martin's AI_Aircraft Editor (v.3.3.33.0) does not report any errors, but fails to display the correct textures for models 74.100 & 74.200.

Sorry Steve,
My sim no longer crashes when I try to revert to the original models & scenery. The AI just don't show up now with "." in the names.

Apologies to John for taking this off topic too.

No problem. It was slightly off topic but I think that John would also be interested if you had found some other HF2 anomalies.

I saw that the issue is attached to the first version of the SBAI An-74, the second version had no such issue.
I decided to avoid any future issues but amending the aircraft.cfg, the model folder names, the model.cfg and the mdl names just to safe. Thanks for that.

The fix posted here for the KC-10A's and the updated zip in the Hangar both remove the inverted commas from the aircraft names, so everything should be good for all sim versions now.

There you go, back on topic.
