Any issues with the "umlaut" in the Turkish texture names? These didn't show in AIAE.

I have AI Aircraft Editor v3.1.8.0 and Turkish texture names like texture=TurkAF_121_Tekamül_Filosu_23611 are showing correctly. I use FSX Steam and P3Dv4.4, no issues there either.

Didn't notice on my FSX machine as I already had them, but back on my P3D now and updated Matrix, are the Columbus AFB repaints not included as they were repainted outside of official MAIW packages? I found 2 authors that did FS9 paints.

Is it just me or are the tailplanes not symetrical. Left side droops lower than the right (looking from behind).

Pete, you are right, they somehow got tilted a bit, my mistake. I guess I am not the only one who did not see this before, you are the first one reporting it out of 393 downloaders...

Here is a cloud link to the asymetrical tailplanes hotfix:

https://app.box.com/s/wa31gtmgawsz8idhuozus4ezvufivptf

Simply replace the 10 old model .MDL files with the new ones from the JKAI_T-38_Talon_Hotfix_20190306.zip file.

Covettepilot: Just a guess but are you trying to use FS9 models in P3Dv4? P3Dv4 cannot correctly render FS9 models, you need to use the converted native FSX/P3D models (which are available in the downloads). I also do not recognize the label "MAIW Jake Burrus / Kevin Reed AI", we did not use that phrase in the FSX/P3D version.

Naother thought: Maybe you installed the new FSX/P3D version but forgot to remove the old FS9 models/flightplans?

It's the package that was installed by Matrix.

this is a sample of the ac cfg

Nice, that aircraft.cfg sample is NOT from the FSX/P3D conversion pack. This confirms you still have the FS9 files in your sim. Here is the aircraft entry from the FSX/P3D version to compare with your FS9 aircraft.cfg sample [fltsim.86]:

[fltsim.534]
title=MAIW_JKAI_T-38_12FTW_560FTS_65-10463
sim=JKAI_T-38_AI_ONLY
model=T38CPMP_2c
texture=12FTW_560FTS_65-10463
atc_airline=HOTCAR
atc_parking_types=MIL_COMBAT
atc_parking_codes=560T
ui_manufacturer=Northrop
ui_type=T-38C Talon
ui_variation=USAF_12FTW_560FTS_65-10463
description=Repaint by Mike Pearson
ui_createdby=MAIW & Jake Burrus & Kevin Reed
ui_typerole=Military AI

My suggestion is to download the FSX/P3D conversion file directly from the MAIW downloads. In the meantime I will send a PM to Greg who controls the Matrix files.

Downloaded the T-38 FSX package and by simply swapping out models fixed the issue.
Matrix needs to be updated.

You also need the FSX/P3D Aircraft.cfg file plus the common FSX/P3D textures for afterburners and glass. If you use the old FS9 Aircraft.cfg file, the effects and some other things will be wrong.

All very strange. I don't seem to have any issues nor were there any other reports about this. Also, AIAE reports all T-38 mdl's in Matrix as MDLX, so they are definitely not the original FS9 models.

I'll have a closer look later.

Greg, thanks for checking the Matrix. At this point I am 90% sure that Corvettepilot has a duplicate install of an older FS9 pack and the newer Matrix files or he has done some modding which did not go well and now his sim loads the FS9 Aircraft.cfg.

I have repackaged it as version 1.1 with the fixed models. Greg, this is waiting for you on the FTP share.
Cheers,

Version 1.1 of this package is now available in the hangar.

You can also simply download the fixed models from a couple of threads above.

The update is already live in Matrix North America.

Hello,

I did a spot check (roughly half) of the USAF repaints in the T-38 pack and they are all either the current low-vis, or the all-black.

I seem to recall there being the old legacy white schemes, EDW (orange band on white), and NASA schemes on older, FS9 versions. Are there any such schemes for these new P3D versions? Not making a request per se, just wondering if these exist.

thanks - they do look great!

If you have the old FS9 schemes then it should be possible to convert them to dds using DXTBmp.

The first thing you would need is to open a P3D compatible scheme, any one, and export the alpha.
Then load one of the old FS9 schemes that you want to convert and flip the image. If you then load the saved alpha image to replace the one loaded and save the resulting texture as a dds file then it should be good.
If that works then carry on and convert the rest that you want to.

The best quality will be obtained if the texture you start with is 32 bit but at least you will have something.

I am well known for being inept when it comes to textures but even I can convert them easily.

If you have such textures from one of our regular painters, please let me know.

From mobile hence short
