In this download there is only a SimObjects folder and the readme pdf file. Are the other folder missing (like a scripts or a effects folder)? Or do we use the effects and scripts etc. from another one of the helicopters?

FSX native models don't use scripts. Lua scripts were only introduced with P3D.

No other effects are required than what you already have. No other textures are required because there is no light map.
