Voicepacks

Post by petebramley »

Just installed the Global voicepack for matrix and 2 items refused to install:

Files not imported:
DRIVER.vcpmod (DRIVER): A sound segment is not compatible with this version of Flight Simulator.
SPOOKY.vcpmod (SPOOKY): A sound segment is not compatible with this version of Flight Simulator.

Tried twice with latest version of Editvoicepack XL but no joy.

Thanks for the report.

Contrary to what many believe, FS9 voicepacks are not always compatible with FSX/P3D. Some phrases were changed in FSX and if the FS9 voicepack uses a snippet (sound segment) from such a phrase, then it can't be recreated.

It seems like those two slipped through my net. I'll remove them, unless someone wants to redo them for FSX/P3D for me.

I had a look elsewhere to see if they were available but no joy.

Here we are, created with EVP XL, so hopefully should now work.

Gents, just to confirm the Global Voicepack is everything ever released in a MAIW package from day 1? Also, the regions contain additional callsigns specific to that package? I wasn't hearing callsigns with ATC, but I know something is right as I hear "F-35". Seems more payware for P3D, purchased Evp XL license.

The Global Voicepack contains all the voicepack mod files that were included in the packages. There are no additional files in the regions.
