Ok well we have cable systems that are hard wired, no aerials. I did just go to my provider, Shaw, and upgrade my internet package from download speed 15 mbps to 100 mbps. This will upgrade likely in a few days if I'm guessing. Not sure if this will work, but a online price deal keeps me at the same costs.

Sigh, well this is frustrating on both ends I'm sure. I'm currently downloading NA and still slow. I will post again likely next week, and see what my results are.

Could you please go to the following location on your system and attach the Errors.log file here? It should tell me exactly why the download failed. We assume it's because of a time-out but I just want to be sure.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Military_AI_Works\Logs

Yes, sorry. It confirms that the data transfer was interrupted.

I had planned some work on the migration to Amazon Web Services today and see if you're able to download okay from there, but something got in between.

In the meantime I'm curious about your results with the upgraded internet package.

Yes well that got kiboshed when my provider gave me double talk about old pricing, old billing new pricing new billing blah blah blah. So unfortunately I need to reestablish some dialog with them to see where this went off the tracks. So I am still unable to give you better feedback.

No I'm still working on getting a mirror ready for you when I'm not occupied with my job, family and keeping this site and 9 other ones running. Thank you for your patience. ;)

I'm glad we agree, Dave :smt001

Alright I set up a mirror that you can test. Using the method below the files will no longer be downloaded from our cloud server in Brussels but from an Amazon server in Ireland.
  1. First go to your Matrix application folder. Not where you install your regions, but where you installed the application itself. By default it is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Military AI Works\Matrix".
  2. In it you will find a file called "Matrix.exe.config". Make a copy of that file to somewhere safe in case this doesn't work, or give it the extension .bak.
  3. Overwrite the file with the one in the attached zip.
  4. Open Matrix. If the front page says "couldn't connect to the server" or something similar that is normal. Now try installing the regions that failed until now and report back. Don't try anything else! The mirror is only set up to test region installations.
Warning: this file is only for testing! Don't use it on a working Matrix setup!

Good news indeed! I'll keep working on the server migration so you can install future region updates with the same config file.

I did notice some of the aircraft are not loaded or missing textures.

Can you be more specific about what you see where? Is it black aircraft in the sim? Or an error in some other programme?

Know that not all aircraft have been added yet because we're still making them P3Dv4 compatible, but the flightplans are already there. So if you git an "aircraft not found" error in AIFP for example, this is normal.

I use AIFP extensively and that is where I see the missing aircraft. I also thought it due to not being P3dv4.5 compatible. AI-Aircraft Editor also a great tool to make adjustments to typo's and missing .cfg lines. So for now I will hold off anymore emails to you until you feel you have worked a permanent solution. With the new config I did find that the global voice pack download errors to no internet connection. Unavoidable consequence maybe.

The voicepack is now available on the mirror.

I'm working on an update for Matrix to finalise the server migration. In the meantime, you can keep using the amended config file. The only thing that still doesn't work at the moment is the web content on the home and credits tabs in Matrix.
