ADE Won't Compile_BGLComp quits

Trying to compile a complex ADE9 file, however when it begins, I get a message saying BGLComp has quit. So the ADE file can't even make it through the process and will not show me an error log for what's wrong.

I have a feeling that it has exceeded the number of points/polygons allowed but I'm not sure.

I can do a split compile and everything except the airport ADE file portion will compile into its own scenery file.

Anyone have any experience with this???

I just had to play a lot of games with the the scenery I was updating earlier this week because it' was at max complexity already and was crashing the compiler. I had to creatively simplify some parts of it in order to get the new parking spots put in.

In ADE, click the "Projects" tab and hit the "statistics" option to see if you need to creatively remove some lines.

I am assuming the fault finder is clear.

Save your airport as "give it a new name".

Open the new file and remove or modify portions and see if it will compile. Has this airport compiled as you have gone along?

If you are making concrete hardstands surrounded by asphalt, use one large shape for all the concrete. Asphalt gets displayed over it. Much like a drawing board of concrete and detail it with asphalt.

Has the process created any xml file, Mike?
If so you should be able to run that through bglcomp, or some other compilation tool, and see what errors are generated.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It just had too many polygons for the ramps.

Brent I've been tweaking Giacomo's work, he got a little carried away, lol. The whole thing needed some fixes to the hold short nodes, etc.

Either way I've got it compiling again, I've just never seen where ADE would cause BGLComp to crash like that.

lol, and now you know why some of the new parking spots don't have taxi lines like shown on google earth.

The only other time I have reached the complexity limit in ADE was when I was doing the boneyard in my Davis Monthan project.

You know when we have become too detail oriented for our own good when we have to create 2, 3 or 4 bgls just to get a new afcad.
