RODN V3

Post by jimrodger »

To check that I've got the necessary libraries installed I usually open the airfield and import the object bgl files in ADE.

I can then check what libraries are used and I they are missing in LOM within ADE.

Opening the airfield file (RODN_V3.bgl) works OK, but on importing the object file (RODN_V3_OBJ.bgl) ADE crashes with the ability to send a log file.

I've just re-installed ADE, so it may be a problem with my install, but it seems to be OK on other airfields.

This happens with both FS9 and FSX installations....

Has anyone else noticed this, or could check.

Hi Jim

Just checked my install (P3Dv4) and it loaded into ADE just fine. I believe the only file that is different for P3Dv4 is the Kadena object library. I have not checked the FS9 version as I no longer keep FS9 up-to date.

ADE Versions:

Application 01.76.6715.14291
Engine 04.75.6712.18978

Hi Jim,
Just checked exactly the same way you used it and no issues at all for FS9.
I have exactly the same version as Pete.

If you were checking just checking the FS9 version I would suggest re downloading as you seem to have a corruption but to have it with both versions I find very strange.

I always do the same check you do with new scenery as well.

+1 Good test here in P3Dv4.2. Great looking F-15s in their nests.

I had an issue with a previous RODN install. My scenery and parking were fine; however a quarter of my F-15's were "shiny" , each squadron had a few birds that would not load properly. The texture was there, just shiny and silvery looking, all the time! I uninstalled the original RODN, both F-15 squadrons (44th & 67th) . and installed RODN V3. I installed the 44th & 67th included with the newer RODN package. Happy to report, all F-15's are normal looking now. Not sure what caused that problem. I had given up on trying to fix the textures. All is good now!
