RAF Air Base Maps

Post by awj112 »

Does anyone know where I can find taxiway maps for RAF air bases? I am looking for something like http://www.airnav.com. Airnav only covers CONUS bases though.

This link was passed on to me by one of MAIW's members. Sorry I don't remember who it was. But it has helped me with bases all over the world.

awj112 - just for info, whilst the USAF and, probably, other air forces around the world inhabit 'air bases' the Royal air Force still inhabit 'Stations' thus Royal Air Force Station Marham. The Base Commander to use USAF parlance is still referred to as the Station Commander.

Looks like I lost out on the larger air station diagrams (better?).

Diagrams of operational stations are not released to the public, for obvious reasons. Diagrams of closed stations WWII etc. can be obtained from RAF Hendon (RAF Museum) simply by sending an email request. They usually take 4/5 weeks and the cost is minimal and will be invoiced.

GE is VERY useful.
