Hello,

I would like to add some MAIW Library in ADE to realise some sceneries.

Have someone the thumbnail of the diffrents objects include in these library ?

Thanks a lot.

I wish there were some... It's always a pain to add objects with no thumbnail because you don't know what they actually are!
But I found a solution: whenever I want to add objects from a certain library I place them all close to the airport, compile the scenery, open the game and use the slew function to move around them. Then I connect the game with ADE9X and a marker of my position appears. Then it's all about copying and pasting the objects wherever you need and adjust their heading.

I have screenshots of several hundred objects from the MAIW object libraries with their corresponding GUIDs.
They are placed on a runway and there is a crosshair in most of the shots so you get an impression of the object size.
I think they would just need to be cut and resized.

Thanks Hawk,

But it just as easy for me to make the thumbs, we have most of them already. Plus you get an idea of the size of the object by the box ADE draws don't you? One thing you will have to do after you place your objects using these thumbs is check in game that they are facing the correct way.

To be honest I have never used ADE to place objects. I am doing it the old fashioned way, slewing around a crosshair, getting the coordinates and heading using RW12 Object placer, inserting them in the xml file and then compiling it. This might be a little bit inconvenient but this way I can create placement files for different object: buildings, GSE, trees...

Here is what I use for ADE9.

In the attached ZIP there are a couple of AFCAD I created many times ago for testing purpose just to watch aircraft fly between them.
PER1 is now filled with objects coming from some MAIW packages and some library found around the net.

The libraries used are the following :
Beaufort Object Library
Nick's Landivisiau ObjectsL
MCDMilitaryLibrary
GGSE
MAIW Weapons
ez uk buildings v1
MAIW ABO
ron ez housez and buildingz
Cavour 550 Library
MAIW RAF Domestic Buildings Library
Atsugi Object Library
JGSE
MAIW Cargo
parking lots large ss
Papa Object Library
ag tree lib
add dwag hangers
GA-Hangers lib
add lenshanger 2
add lenshanger 3
MAIW IDF PART1 scenery objects
maiw aircraft shelter library
MAIW RAF Hangers Library
egxc bldgs library
MAIW MirageF1 Objects Library
MAIW RAF Technical Buildings Library
MAIW RAF Operational Buildings Library

You have to add them in ADE9.

The two AFCAD are somewhere NorthWest from Australia.

Cheers, Giorgio

Hey Mat.

If you mean the thumbnail packages on the MAIW website, then thanks

For now, we will only provide thumbnails for our own MAIW Scenery Libraries. Mcdmil is a third party library you probably downloaded elsewhere.

Maybe somebody else will do a thumbnail package for it though.

Great job!
I just downloaded them and had a quick peep... I noticed there are almost 200 thumbnails for the ABO library, while I have only 120. Am I missing something?

Hi James what do you have 120 of? The latest ABO library has 196 objects.
