Re: Dans bits & bobs
Just uploaded some E-3 repaints for the NAAI model for NATO & the USAF. The NATO ones are direct replacements for the already released package but in their late 90s scheme, also done the special scheme that was applied in 1999 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NATO. The US ones are basically ...

Re: 747 models
That's a question for Mason really, he's the mastermind behind all this. That said I'm pretty sure it's triggered by altitude, 40,000ft if I'm not mistaken.John Young wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 09:39 Dan, all looking very good and nice screen shots too. What triggers the green laser beam?

Yep, that's one of the many things we still need to do.md11driver44 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 23:46 Since there looks like there will be a new Air Force One (747-8), is anyone looking to make a new one for the FAIB 747-8?

747 models
Over the last few months or so Mason Curling & myself have been making up some of the 747 models not properly covered by FAIB, AIA & UTT. I will say this is mostly the work of Mason who has built the extra parts for these models by scratch, I've done some new base textures & the parts as...

RAF Waddington 2025
Last Monday, 17/2/25, I went over to RAF Waddington to capture the arrival of a bunch of aircraft from the Royal Saudi Air Force, most notably 6 F-15SA's. Also to come from Saudi Arabia were multiple C-130 flights as well. Also the RAF based assets were very busy as well with multiple Shadow flights...

Re: Minot AFB North Dakota
I’m just writing the manual for the Minot project and I wonder if someone with P3Dv4 could help me please? I am designing with P3Dv5.4 and that necessitates a completely different approach to adding night lighting compared to the FSX version because of the dynamic lighting in the former. P3Dv5 ligh...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Thanks Jim, much appreciated.
Honestly can't remember where I got them from, I can only assume that there are 2 conflicting waypoints as none of the waypoints show as being in Israel according to aifp in my sim. I'd change them to using the IDN versions if they are indeed duplicated somehow.

Err I'm not sure in all honesty where I got them from. The repaints should work with the other models though, if not let me know & I'll fire it your way.

Re: Dans bits & bobs
All the packages have now been uploaded (sorry Martin :D ), all except the Il-76's have representative flightplans to go with them, they're meant as replacements so don't even have a cfg entry as it's not required. Mainly because I had such an issue with the cfg entries which were causing ctd's for ...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Here is my next project, India. This includes air force assets as well as naval & army aircraft as well. Still quite a bit left to do but all the repaints are at least done, which also includes 554 MiG 21 repaints as well. The aircraft will be released individually as some aircraft, like the Mir...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Myanmar MiG 29's are uploaded, along with the some flightplans for the Magway based J-7's. They're meant as retro but can be used for modern purposes. I'm going to hold off the Mi-24 repaints for the time being, there is a good reason but I can't go into it right now. Cuban aircraft will be uploaded...

Re: JYAI UH-1 Huey
Sorry should've been clearer. Once I've converted it into a psd file, I then use "save a copy" & there are only very limited options to save it as, jpeg being one I think which is useless. There is no option to save it a a bmp at all if that makes sense.

Re: JYAI UH-1 Huey
Yes, I'd like to crack Kirtland too, but I don't want to have to build Albuquerque International Airport in the process and all the paints for the SOS types that are based there with the Huey's. I think because of the interest this has generated, I should also try and tackle the Bell 412 too and fi...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Thanks to Jimroger for helping me out with Scramble, it is hugely appreciated. In other news, the Mi-24 models have been uploaded, I'll upload some repaints for those very shortly. Also just uploaded are some HD paints for the NBAI B-1b, these are updates for the original package from back in the da...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Will be uploading a bunch of repaints & the Mi-24 models to the hangar shortly, probably within the next few days. I do need a hand from someone though, can someone grab some serials of scramble for me please? If anyone is happy to help can they pm me please & I'll let you know what I'm afte...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
The models will have to be converted to FSX format from P3D to make them work, I believe it's possible. I'm too busy to try that out so won't be able to assist in that I'm afraid.
The repaints should work just fine.

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Also coming very soon is another updated model, this time done by myself & Mason Curling. It's based on the updated model by Miljan but modded to change it to an Mi-24, plenty of weapons fits on them as well. The models will be uploaded separately to the repaints of which I've already done a bun...
