Now the model conversions are a far more tricky proposition.

Without the original source code you are left with converting each mdl using a tool such as ModelConverterX.
The tool itself is free but the creator, Arno, has made it so that you need a license file ...

OK, this is what I was hoping.

With FSX you have to specify in the FSX.cfg any specifically added folder that you want it to pick up. It is not like FS9. Anything not specifically cataloged under SimObjects will be ignored.

It might be that it doesn't like nested folders. So alter your entry to ...

Well that seems fairly simple. The aircraft are not in your system. It would explain why nothing shows up.

What exactly is the folder path that those tankers are in?

The only other thing that I can think off is that some payware addons had an file that stamped over a large area and basically nullified the afcad.
I can't remember the name of brand but they also stamped over several UK airfields. I remember distinctly that their RAF St Mawgan nullified RAF ...

OK, but we come back to the fact that you have to make the spots tie up with that AIAE tells that the aircraft need in FSX, not what was good enough for the FS9 system..

Have you checked the F-16s yet?

I seem to remember that the original Nellis had a traffic file for the Humvee vehicles so make sure that gets converted as well. AIFP3 should have found it and converted it though.

The thing is here that if any FS9 file was there there then the F-15s would not be showing up. So pick another ...

The FS9 traffic will show if you have aircraft matching the titles in the FS9 traffic file on your sim. If the names are different then the FS9 traffic file will be loaded, and therefore block the FSX taffic file(s), but will not show anything.

In AIFP under Bulk Traffic there are a couple of useful options here.
Firstly, Firstly FS9 Traffic Files will show any traffic files that will cause you trouble in your sim.
Secondly, Convert FS9 Traffic Files to FSX will convert those files for you.

The only way that you can really change the spot size is if the mdls are for FS9.
For any later sims the size is only changed by altering the wingspan ...

Whilst John is helping you with a specific problem, I will say one thing.

If you have checked the basics, traffic sliders, FS9 traffic files etc. Then you have eliminated the causes that will affect ALL bases.

Therefore if you have any bases that has the issue then you will need to apply whatever ...

Yes, take the wingspan, divide by two (rounding up if necessary and then make the parking spot that you want to use equal to that number.
If you were to amend the wingspan, anywhere any how, then this would alter the flying characteristics.

With FS9 models it is different the mdl size is embedded ...

Sorry about that. I was half asleep when I wrote that, By numbers I mean the radius numbers for wing span. As for the first question. I have some showing now, but still have others that still are not showing up ( c-17's).


OK for FSX you CAN change it by altering the wingspan parm in the ...

Do you mean the number in the sim, or the serials?

FSX has two sliders for AI traffic. You need to set both to 100% when you want to diagnose issues.
I have seen some packages where all the individual flightplans are set to show up at 100%, so if the sliders are set to less than 100% those flights will not show up.

I have had a quick look, to see if it was a simple rename thing and what I found was the FSX pack but the P3D pack does not seem to be there.
It seems that it might accidentality have been deleted.

I am sure that Martin has a copy of the original pack and therefore can reload it.

Well there are no specifics here to be able to dive down into so we stick to the basics.

1. BOTH AI sliders need to be at 100%.
2. If you have some traffic at a base then you can discount the FS9 traffic file issue.

Well I am not versed in teeOffset3 but that doesn't sound like a valid parm. Do you have any other teeOffset parms in your code?
If not then I would look at that parking spot, delet it and set it back up. It sounds like a typo crept in somewhere and the compiler can't deal with it.
