Re: A few Retro Repaints
As a student at the RAF's Central Air traffic Control School at Shawbury I had several trips in the JPs.

Re: FSX Lakenheath Missing Textures
An update: Darkening of the originals SL_VEHICLES and SL_LN_TOWER and making them _LMs worked a treat. LN_GSE_LM was, indeed, in the P3D version (which begs the question as to why it wasn't put in the FSX version?) Despite downloading the latest Kadena package 'Failed to Load texture:MAIW_TEXTURE_KA...

FSX Lakenheath Missing Textures
I've downloaded Ian McCartney's Lakenheath scenery for FSX (V2) from several sources and each time I load the airfield I keep getting messages 'unable to load' the following: SL_VEHICLES_LM SL_LN_TOWER_LM LNHAS_LM .BMP MAIW_TEXTURE_KADENA_TOWER LN_GSE_LM ...and, sure enough, they aren't in the (any)...

Outstanding work, John.
I used to fly with a former OC Met Research Flight so seeing your version in my retro RAF FS will always bring him to mind for me.

X Plane 11
I note that it is full steam ahead with a mass conversion to P3D. I'm sure the conversion of FS aircraft to X Plane is technically not feasible and there is no user-friendly AI engine in X Plane in any case. However, X Plane is crying out for decent scenery objects and none the moreso than in the mi...

Re: A-10 Thunderbolt II
Dear Mr Young, I never cease to be mightily impressed, nay gobsmacked, at your seemingly infinite ability to produce these magnificent models - and in such prodigious numbers. I know that 'requests' are frowned upon, but could I ask that you consider (and I would think it a 'walk in the park' compar...

That looks really good - it already brings back the memories of living in the 'Deathstar'.
I might have a few pics of the tower and crash bay but can't check them until early next week.

Re: Windows 10
The issue for me is still the Full Screen issue. Has this yet been resolved with any of the W10 updates of late. Unless I can run FS9 in full screen mode then I'm not upgrading.

Re: Upgrading from Windows 7 to Window 10 and the impact to FS9
Early versions of W10 allowed FS9 (and, I suppose FSX) to run in full screen. MS did something that emerged with the release of W10 version 10330 that screwed up the full screen mode. Nobody except MS can know what they did to cause this and nobody at MS, despite howls of protest from the community,...

Airfield Construction Group gone?
I've just had a look at the website and see that it's closed.
The group produced some superb work and it would be a great shame for it to disappear into the digital ether. Is MAIW in a position to host ACG's stock and prevent all that hard work going to waste - or is it already in hand?

Re: Windows 10
That's interesting. What 'build' of W10 do you have installed? As previously mentioned, build 10130 seems to have introduced the problem. It would appear that anyone who downloaded Beta versions prior to the 29 July world-wide release (and haven't allowed any subsequent updates) doesn't have the pro...

Re: Windows 10
It would appear that 'something' was changed in W10 build 10130 and whatever it was, MS can't be bothered to either reinstate or fix. DX seems to be the culprit. The 'no CD' exe runs FS9 without problem and I've tried running in legacy modes but all to no avail.

Re: Windows 10
I thought I'd add my half-penny's worth for those who are 'imming' and 'amming' about whether or not to make the upgrade. I took the upgrade onto a Windows 7 64bit OS and the upgrade itself was pretty flawless. As I recall I had to do some adjustments to the sound system and pick up some drivers for...

Re: RAF UAS Bulldogs
Just cross reference the flight plan number (eg 46) as shown in the displayed error picture above and you'll see the aircraft serial displayed (if using AIFP, that is).
Lovely package; thanks very much.

Thanks very much for creating this; it's a lovely little model and all seems to work as advertised. My CFS Bulldogs are flying out of Leeming in my 'RAF 1979' recreation.

Are there any repaints for Nick Black's AI Hawk for 1TWU and 2TWU in the 'cam' colour scheme late 70s?
Thanks
