Re: RAF Brüggen: Help needed with ADE Frequencies

Yes, but again don't have them all the same.
For example imagine you are in ATC trying to talk a plane in for a GCA and somebody asks for permission to taxy on the same freq.

You can't go far wrong by amending the 122.1 for Tower and then using the other VHF freqs mentioned by Jim as a guide.

Re: Overnight Drop in Frame Rates

Wow that small size of the VMEM could very well be the problem and I am surprised that you haven't hit it before. It does seem that you hit the wrong combination. You would think that the more memory that you have that the less you need for the VMEM but from everything that I have read it isn't the ...

Re: RAF Brüggen: Help needed with ADE Frequencies

Well it doesn't help that all 3x freqs are the same. If all the ATC positions at the base use the same freq you will definitely be in trouble at times. I checked the default FS9 freqs for Bruggen are :- Bruggen Tower 122.1 Talkdown Approach 123.3 / 130.5 Bruggen Zone 119.7 The FS9 addon scenery I ha...

Re: Overnight Drop in Frame Rates

Well I am glad you got lucky but I am wondering if it was more to do with the Virtual Mem setting on your PC. Like I said if RAM has an issue it will just crash things, I have had that in the past. It sounds like, taking into account what you were saying about its sudden appearance/disappearance, th...

Re: Overnight Drop in Frame Rates

I would doubt that it is RAM. RAM either works or it doesn't, it works full out or it glitches and causes crashes. I am not suggesting that you don't check it but my thinking is that it is something else.

Does this phenomenon happen at just the ones base or everywhere?

Re: installing Matrix fails

If you are starting again from scratch, i.e. you haven't got any particular mods that you have made then you could just delete the user.config file. The file will be in your 'C:\Users\xxxxi\AppData\Local\Military_AI_Works' folder where xxxx is your user profile name. In there you will find a folder ...

Re: Kaneohe Bay NAS past and present...

I thought that might be the case. All I get is a big empty space. I had a play around and when I switched off my VPN the pic appeared. I switched it back on again and everything was OK. So it appears that the VPN connection did not like them although switching it off and on again cured that problem. ...

I was thinking that it would be really user friendly if they had an option so that the local cache could be set to either your local area of choice or automatically to the area of your current startup location.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

If that speed can't cope then there are an awful lot of people that are going to be disappointed.

Two areas I will be looking forward to seeing is Key West, as the FS9 scenery is abysmal there, and the MAIW Airfield, as I do most of my testing in that area.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

The one useful bit of info that I picked up was the amount of data used to create the world, the word petabytes is used. This proves conclusively that you can't download the whole scenery for offline use. It also confirms that the faster your internet is the better your scenery will be. Be warned if...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

I think that most if not all of this visuals come from released MS team ones but having said that the way that the video has been put together is very well done.

I would defy anybody, that likes flight sims, to watch that and say that they are not interested in it - and mean it.

Re: Indian C-130J-30 opinions

My gut feeling here is that the probe is the most visible item, so go with that version.
I have a feeling that the RAF ones were delivered w/o bumps but were added for work in the Asia zone. It could well be that the Indians add something similar in the future as well.

Re: General MAIW Conversion Package issues

If you don't want anything to have a callsign. Unless there is something in the atc_airline field it will be a GA flight. So either "atc_airline=" or removing the entire line will work. This will then use what you have compiled in the flightplan as the callsign Try Martins AIAE. I don't think that y...

Re: General MAIW Conversion Package issues

You want to remove the atc_airline parm altogether so that everything is GA?

I believe that Martin's AI Aircraft Editor will do that. Just set up the Delete Keys section under tools.
