Re: Greenham Common Scenery
Hi Matt, AVSIM has raf_greenham_common.zip by Terry Boissel for FSX (coded X2GC). I use the FS2004 scenery in P3D myself though (bc_egvi.zip by Brian Clarke, Daryl Payne). It uses the MAIW FSX object library, so displays OK with a flatten-exclude-autogen poly added. Jim Thank you Jim for your respo...

Greenham Common Scenery
Greetings all, At present my flight sim is in the 1998 circa and I am aware Greenham common was closed but at that time the airbase was still intact. I am looking for a scenery for this, I use Prepar3d V.4 I have searched everywhere and can only find a MFS 2004 one. Last year I did have a good scene...

Issue now resolved, I should of looked properly in my scenery folders but a different Waddington scenery was active in another folder.
Scenery is fine now.

Re: Graphics issues with trees
When I say, what am I looking at Matt, I mean - what airfield is that? I already know you are using P3D because it's on the screen shot and your user information. If it is my RAF Waddington scenery, that was produced way back in 2008 when FSX was patched to SP1. When SP2 came along, sometime later,...

Re: Graphics issues with trees
What is the name of the zip that the scenery came from please? Better still, if you can provide the link, I'll test it for you. I can't help you unless I know what I am looking at and what sim version the scenery was intended for. John Hi John, It's P3D V.4 - Shaggy22 has the same scenery and sim a...

Re: Graphics issues with trees
Looks like Waddington. There are some good sceneries for that which work perfectly well in P3D, so there should be no need to use an FS9 version - which is definitely where those trees come from. This is a downloaded scenery recommended to me by a friend who knows what he is doing. This is the poin...

Hello, my frame rate is 19 on the screen shot, doesn't seem clear here.John Young wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022, 14:58 You have a frame rate of 10fps, which is unusable. What is the scenery and what sim version is it for?

Graphics issues with trees
Hi,
I have tried everything to get rid of these trees but I can't
Does anyone know why they are displaying like that?
We just can't figure out how to correct this.

The British Airliner Collection - Duxford Acquires RAF BAe 146 ZE701
It's great that Duxford are now adding one of the BAe 146's to their collection. This does mean the Herald will be going to a new home, I guess it's better than it getting scrapped! ZE701 will fly into Duxford on the 24th January where she will spend her retirement. Official post announcement on the...

Re: Matt's Flight plans - Retro
Just in case anyone is interested, I had a bit of fun here. As I am doing an 80's circa on my sim, I decided to create some flight plans for the Vulcan Display Flights. Vulcan XL426 was based at RAF Waddington and was the main RAF Vulcan display aircraft until 1986 when it was sold off. Vulcan XH558...

Matt's Flight plans - Retro
I have decided to start a new topic off with my improved retro flight plans. After doing more research and taking my time, I felt it was necessary to make this thread as there may of been 1 or 2 errors on my earlier flight plans. After spending more time with Shaggy22 (Dan Reeves) I've learnt some b...

Re: Norton AFB
This looks fantastic! I am glad this inspired to start the ground work for Norton AFB. I've always said to Dan when I write flight plans that when there is no scenery for certain bases it's a tad disheartening as you want to see them flying about doing what you've written them to do. Look forward to...
