Re: Thoughts on the next project

The 8 bladed prop is an experimental upgrade for the C-130Hs remaining in Air Guard and Reserve service. They are also doing an engine swap to RR TF-56 3.5s. The test is supposed to run through 2020. Of course, they did the same test back in 2010 with just the props (no engine change).

Just FYI Greg, the Ozuki and Hofu included in this package are complete rebuilds. The original versions that are in the hangar can go away.

There is actually a third for the same event. That one 14-5802, a C-130J belonging to the 62nd AS.

Re: Bolling HP

I have found through trial and error that you can often get away with runways as short as 500 feet with the JYAI UH-60s and several other models With a 500 foot runway, the model won't be able to take off by the end of the runway. This doesn't actually impact how the model flies, but it may cause it...

Re: Bolling HP

Very nice rendition. If you want, take a look at the AFCAD for NDV included in the HMX-1 package. That should help you with how to build short helicopter runways.

Re: JASDF Bases

I am currently using T-34s masquerading as T-7s. I certainly wouldn't mind some real T-7s. If some T-7s were to appear, Hofu (the other T-7 base) could certainly use an overhaul and update to FSX/P3D standard.

Re: Happy Holidays!

Is that Scottish for "Bah! Humbug!"? Random and pointless trivia time. The character of Ebenezer Scrooge is most likely based off of a banker from Edinburgh... so, "Bah! Humbug!" can in point of fact be said to be Scottish already. Egg Nogg, Peppermint Schnapps and Rum all around tonight! Merry Chr...

I have sent the overhauled FS9/FSX Kadena to the Hangar. It has a full set of JYAI F-15s and HTAI C-130s included and instructions on how to get the rest of the bases residents from other MAIW packages and how to do a one step P3D conversion for the custom scenery objects. https://i.imgur.com/lYdaQW...

I don't know what you guys are on about. As evidenced by this clearly not badly hacked together in MS paint photo proves, the C-1 recently made a cameo appearance in a Kabuki play an no one even noticed it was there: https://i.imgur.com/VadvLNB.jpg To be honest, I think the ear shredding roar of JT8...

Did you make sure to delete the appropriate files from the MAIW Army Air Corps WAH-64 Apache package?

The files you need to cut out of the old package are:
MAIW_Gila Bend.bgl
MAIW_GBN_Flatten.bgl
MAIW_GBN_EXC.bgl
MAIW_AFX_GBN.bgl
MAIW_AF2_GBN1.bgl
