Re: NAS JRB Fort Worth (KNFW)

Sorry guys, I haven't checked the forum in months. I guess that's a bit of an understatement isn't it. John, if you need the source files, I can send them to you. If you can complete this project and let if free in the world, you of course have my blessing.

Re: NAS JRB Fort Worth (KNFW)

Sorry guys, I'm still around but the last couple of months have been particularly special. It turns out that running an executive protection and private security business during a global pandemic leaves one with little time for side hobbies. Hopefully 2020 will give us a break soon. I should have li...

Re: JASDF Bases

FYI: 501 Hikotai have flown their last Phantom mission. The RF-4s will fly no more for the JASDF. This leaves 301 Hikotai as the last Phantom operator in the JASDF... at least until later this year when they will also turn in their jets and move to Misawa to begin F-35 transition.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

If you are going to be doing a bunch more C-130 paints, I would suggest copying the windows into their own layer, then duplicating that layer and modifying it each time you find a new window configuration. That way you can have an easy to switch to layer each time you need different windows, instead...

Re: NAS JRB Fort Worth (KNFW)

I kind of shelved everything for a bit. There have been some complications since August that have stolen my development time.

I have been getting spun back up on things recently though and have started work on the project again.

Japan actually operates both older E-2C and brand new E-2D aircraft. The E-2Ds started delivery in the first quarter of 2019. There are currently 13 E-2C and 2 E-2D with 17 more E-2D on order.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I installed fs9 ones ok, but noticed texture details were slightly different on the a/c cfg! When I installed in fsx, no a/c show up That's odd. The FS9 aircraft.cfg entries are a direct copy from the FSX aircraft.cfg file. I double checked the source file that was uploaded and they are identical o...

Re: RAF Sentinel R1's and USAF E-11A's

For anyone interested in setting up BACN flights for the E-11As, they can be represented pretty straight forward. The E-11As are all at KAF and one is airborne 24 hours a day doing high altitude orbits. So, just set them up in 6 hour offsets and you are good to go. If you want to be more complex do ...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package

The primary cause of a black model in the sim is because the texture is missing or unrecognizable. The two quickest checks for that are: 1) Make sure that the texture folder has the same name as the texture call in the aircraft.cfg file 2) Make sure the texture inside the texture folder hasn't been ...

Behind FS9 traffic files being the leading cause of mysteriously disappearing traffic, a close 2nd is the AI slider. Double check to make sure you have it turned all the way up.

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package

Now that my move from heck is done. I can take a look at making a VMGR-252 package for you with custom flight plans. Shouldn't be too much of a fuss since I've already been working with that paint kit.
