Re: Wedgetail download problem

Thanks Greg. Yes I was confused by the last sentence in both descriptions. I have now downloaded the FSX aircraft models. Thanks for your help.

Wedgetail download problem

I attempted to download the FSX version of the Wedgetail and was directed to the download for the FS9 version, when I clicked on the download for the FS9 version I was directed to the FSX download. Can one of the administrators please correct this anomaly so that when the FSX version is required tha...

Re: German and Italian Fiat G-91 "Ginas"

Updating and Quality Checking is a mammoth task and much appreciated by us all. I can only offer my thanks for the consistent high quality of MAIW aircraft, scenery and flightplans.

Re: German and Italian Fiat G-91 "Ginas"

Has any progress been made in making the FSX version of these aircraft and flightplan(s) ready for general release? Last news was in early May this year.

Re: When writing FSX AI flying programs

Firebird: Your reply is most informative. Regarding TNGs at base I had programmed four Canberras to each have four TNG flights a day spaced throughout the day, the last flight of the day for each aircraft taking place at night. The initial radio call being timed not to interfere with x-country day o...

When writing FSX AI flying programs

I use FSX and AIFP v3. Do any forum members have any tips on writing AI programs to ensure that such programs run smoothly? For example: Has experience taught an author that it is better to leave a gap of 'x' minutes between an aircraft landing and another aircraft taking off from the same runway. I...

Re: German and Italian Fiat G-91 "Ginas"

I bought the simskunk works Fiat G-91 plus ACMI (I did not want the ACMI) and I found the whole SSW setup program completely overawed me with more than thirty folders from three installers. I gave up on that but would like to "fly" a native FSX "Gina." I've also tried the G-91Y by an Italian gentlem...

German and Italian Fiat G-91 "Ginas"

I now run FSX - Will FS9 AI g-91s (Mike Pearson?) work as AI in FSX without any modification?

If not how can one convert the AI fs9 "Ginas" to work in FSX assuming that Mike Pearson gives his permission to do so?

Are there any FSX flightplans available for these GAF & Italian "Ginas"?

Re: AI Flightplanning

Firebird, I tried to send you a long PM a few minutes ago but being unused to the MAIW PM system this may have failed to reach you. My PM covered AI traffic and third party scenery as well as the history behind my current plans for a series of Canberra flights. Please let me know if you received tha...

Re: AI Flightplanning

We have a slight misunderstanding regarding my current Canberra flightplan. My intention is that a Canberra takes off from base, completes one TNG at base and 3 minutes after TNG flies directly to airfield 'B', lands and parks. No TNG whatsoever at airfield 'B'. After 60 minutes the Canberra takes o...

Re: AI Flightplanning

Thanks for your help Firebird. I have been experimenting and I found that it is not always possible to add AI traffic to third party scenery which already has AI traffic - this could be me making an error while trying to learn how to operate AIFPv3. I think that I have successfully produced a flight...

AI Flightplanning

Many years ago I produced quite a number of successful AI flightplans using the excellent FS9 program Ttools. Having very belatedly moved over to FSX I am now trying to use AIFP v3. The plan I am using to familiarise myself with AIFP involves a Canberra starting the day with T&Gs at base and when th...

Re: FSX SDK

I've had no joy trying to install the FSXSDK. I sat for 25 minutes listening to the FSX Gold Disk 1 clatter round while the green band extended in pulses without presenting me with the hoped for SDK.exe! I did study the fsdeveloper page prior to inserting the disk, their instruction were quite clear...

FSX SDK

I have FSX Gold edition working on my computer and also ADE 1.75 ans AIFPv3. I should like to: a) Make up some of my own AI flightplans for John's Lancasters and Canberras b) Edit the parking on some of my Addon Airfields Some years ago I had everything working well on FS9 but then MS force fed me W...

Re: The Twins AI traffic help

John: Thanks for your help. Still finding my way round AIFP - excellent program. I had to insert EGVJ & EGVG into the AIFP database before I could read the 'Timetable' section for those airfields. I was then able to check the 'Timetable' facility as you suggested and all is now working as originally...

The Twins AI traffic help

I have installed Bentwaters and Woodbridge together with their aircraft - all the aircraft can be seen but I have no AI traffic. I have tried to convert the Ttools text flightplans from Ttools format to FSX.bgls using the latest version of AIFP. Sadly Uncle Sam's AF seems to have overslept for there...

Re: Lakenheath EGUL

Many thanks to both John and Firebird for the hours spent solving this problem. I now have all of Zolt's repainted F15s (82) installed together with his traffic file. Traffic at EGUL is interesting. Just to round things off, by renaming the trafficAircraft.bgl (to be found in FSX\Scenery\World\Scene...
