Re: John's Junk

Thanks for the interest John I have contacted Brent. At the time of my offer I did not realise how much work the buildings, these and others still required. This post is more to get some idea if the objects bare enough resemblance to the real thing to be used to enhance the scenery. The airport layo...

Re: John's Junk

I have been looking up my old objects and decided to rework these at KNFW.

Same front with generic additions.

Armee De L'Air

Just a tester to find out if someone else is working on this.

Might be tricky to get the serials on the fuselage.

Re: Seeing airports in a Package

The only way to see which airports are used is to look at the Traffic_.bgl. Unzip the file from the package, usually found in a sub folder in scenery\world\scenery. Copy the bgl to AI Flight Planner and open the traffic file. AIFP will display the list of airports in the centre column. You can save ...

Re: NAS JRB Fort Worth (KNFW)

Great job there Brent.

I did start an ambitious project of my own.

Alas my ambition exceeded my capabilities at the time.
There might be some buildings that could be finished off for an upgrade at some time.

Re: Mig-29 all versions

Here is a work in progress.

Still some kinks to iron out on the paint scheme.

Working on this in between another paint project.

Re: Mexican AF

On closer inspection.

The wing an tail surfaces also need to be painted,

I have started but there are more small details that I initially overlooked.
Will take more time.

All three now have split scimitar winglets now.

FS9 .DLL's not found or loading

My FS9 suddenly stopped loading and gave a message to the effect that the .DLL's were not found.

The solution was found in a new feature in e-set internet security.

A feature called HIPS.

I had to exclude the FS9\Modules folder from "Deep behavioral Inspections"

Re: Mig-29 all versions

To support Steve's post. I would be more than willing to help with paint tips, not that I know everything, but I am still willing to learn. Most of the magic is relatively simple when the smoke and mirrors are removed. Like most things in life there are folks with genuine talent and then there are t...

Re: Photoreal scenery over area how to (fs2004)

Miljan Have a look at this thread https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/9/14877?p=155174#p155143 From my limited experience you can use any size source image to start your project. Vertical photo's are ideal but cost money. I have used images from Bing and Google Earth. Mine I made up a large picture b...

Re: I'm doing something stupid here........

Cut and paste the questionable traffic file in a new folder. That way Flight Sim will not read it.
If it is not the cause of your persistent traffic then you can return it to use.

AIFP is able to read traffic files.

Re: FS9 and WIN7 problem

Giorgio This sounds horribly similar to the problem I had this last week. A clean install of FS9 barely loaded and was very slow. CPU usage at 100% or close to it. Rundll32.exe using most of the processing power. I took it to a professional whom I have got to know well over the last seven years. He ...

Re: NH-90

In answer to Steve's question as to whether any packs were in process. The short answer is no. As far as the paints go, most of the schemes just require airframe registrations and numbers. The challenge is getting a font that closely resembles the font used on the airframes. The Italian versions req...

Re: NH-90

I would suggest changing the Aircraft CFG.

Model entries would then read:

model=RANNL_ST_14p_M1

and

model=RANNL_ST_20p_exttankA_M1

The ST refers to the intake and exhaust configuration.
The rest of the model folders in the whole series are named in a similar fashion.
