Re: Clark air base (Retro 1989)

It turns out that with a bit of modification it is possible to export for FS9. It took a bit of time to edit XML files to get FS9 excludes and discover the incompatible features in the original ADE. I changed four hold short nodes to make them FS9 compatible and imported the FS9 excludes from an XML...

Re: 940th ARW 314th ARS Beale AFB

Neither Robins nor Grand Forks have KC-135s left.

Part of restructuring.

314th were reactivated in 2016 at Beale.

Thanks chaps

I did fix the serial on that one and tweaked the tail band a bit.

Glad you like them.

Re: CFB Gagetown

To be honest I had already started painting the Venom a week or two ago. Then I realised it was quite different to the CH-146.
Only one colour.

Have two Grass LZ's and flightplans for 4 Helo's on Mondays for now.

Re: Army Air Corps WAH-64 Apaches by MAIW

JetRange

Sorting the flattens.

The altitude of the runway is determined by the airport elevation. You can change airport elevation in ADE, "tools"\"Change Airport Reference Data".

The taxiways and aprons will lie on the flatten or at airport elevation if there is no flatten.

Re: CFB Gagetown

Steve

I just knocked it together.

Created a new airport.
Used a helper tool to create the apron. Positioned it with Google Earth.

Saved the Google Earth image. Positioned the image in ADE using the apron to scale it.

The rest is tracing.

Unknown surface for runway in FS9 is invisible.

Re: Sikorsky S-92 Helicopters

John We are speaking past each other here. I am very grateful for the modification to the model and paint-kit. I am merely stating that the misalignment at was due to the vector shapes I made to get the curves on the paint scheme. I prefer to use anti aliasing when I can. If the result is less than ...

Re: Sikorsky S-92 Helicopters

John The difference between the two sides is due to the fact that the points on the vector shapes on the left and right are slightly different, forward and aft. The line on the left of the fuselage displays a fraction higher than the right. I can experiment to see if the result is better. I had to m...

Re: Sikorsky S-92 Helicopters

John I am not sure that the alignment is wrong. Points on the model are mapped fractions to of a pixel up or down and left and right on the texture sheet. The fact is, that as the texture get smaller, miniscule differences between left and right side become more prominent. I have seen it on my own h...
