Re: RAF hercules Fleet early 70s

Super stuff Daryl and that brings back so many memories as they were also in and out of Kemble several times a week to be used as the Red Arrows support aircraft taking the ground crew to anywhere in the UK or further afield where the team were displaying. There is scope there for really oddball rou...

Re: RAF Transports

John, That's a very nice set of whistling tits as we used to call them. The Red Arrows used to use them to lug their kit around before the Herc's became available. Nice Andover Tim, are you making a Gnat too, it looks very familiar. If you want and photo's of the Gnat I have lots. That's assuming th...

Re: Nimrod

Funny old world indeed, I too was in avionics, got 'promoted' to Sealand and eventually resigned from there. Still live in the area too. Yes I will be picking up the FS9 Nimrod project shortly

Re: Nimrod MR2

I've tied the blanks, flags & chocks to navlights_off This is a non-geometry part set up in modeldef.xml as <PartInfo> <Name>navlights_off</Name> <Visibility> <Parameter> <Code>(A:LIGHT NAV, bool) 1 == if{ 0 } els{ 1 } </Code> </Parameter> </Visibility> </PartInfo> Flaps are now a part called ai...

Re: F-101B Dark Horse Project

I've used FSDS for many years now and find it easy and stable to use. I would also like to take a look at the fsx file if that's ok?

Re: Nimrod MR2

One remaining problem I'm having is that when the aircraft is on approach the elevators are showing as fully deflected nose-down. The parts are named elevator_percent_key. Is ther an alternative part which does not display this behaviour?

Re: Does anyone know

Sorted : Simple first AI model error... FSDS complains that there is a part name clash if the animated parts in two or more LOD models have exactly the same name so to remove that error I renamed the LOD parts accordingly ie. l_aileron_percent_key in the second model became l_aileron_percent_key.2 a...

Re: Does anyone know

Hi Steve, yes I've used the same animation sequences for the gear as in the highest LOD model. Hard to see because of the distance but I don't think any on the animations are working

Why this is happening.

Re: Blackburn Buccaneer

All sounding good, I await the first screenies with bated breath. Is it worth mentioning that I'm having a little play with ADE? If John is kind enough to provide us with a Buccaneer then Ican at least try to provide it with a basic home - or do I mean Holme ? ;-) Honington? Blimey Brian, bit of a ...

Re: Nimrod MR2

Yes there will be an FS9 version. Had to dig out my FS2004 and the SDK then try to remember how to use it all. I haven't made anything in FS9 since the Skysim Vixen in 2008!

Re: Blackburn Buccaneer

Steve,

If you ask on the Buccsociety forum you'll definitely get the info, there's a lot of ex-Bucc people on there. You'll have to create an account first though.

Re: Blackburn Buccaneer

Sounds very reasonable and very nice. I am trying hard to remember whether the Bucc deployed its airbrakes in the circuit or not, should have taken more notice, if they do then using the flaps is no problem. If not then it might be simpler to use the code that Nick used for his speed brake deployme...

Hi Steve, I'm using the main model standard of l_flap_key_percent & r_flap_key_percent which use <PartInfo> <Name>l_flap_percent_key</Name> <AnimLength>100</AnimLength> <Animation> <Parameter> <Sim> <Variable>TRAILING EDGE FLAPS LEFT PERCENT</Variable> <Units>percent</Units> <Scale>1</Scale> <Bi...
