Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
As a project manager involved in projects with a significant amount of software development, I would like to offer a different perspective. A lot has changed in how software is developed since FSX came out. Back then, Agile was still relatively new and DevOps wasn't thought of yet, so Waterfall was ...

Re: Wright-Patterson AFB (KFFO)
Hello About Wright Patterson, is there any scenery (FS9) of the USAF Museum next the air base ? Thanks. I haven't found any scenery of that part of the base. It actually started out as a separate base (McCook Field) and had its own ICAO code (KDWF) until it was merged with Patterson Field and the m...

Re: ATAC fleet Texture Update
Mark: These look amazing! Having struggled through the process of trying to make ATAC repaints that looked halfway decent for my ATAC package years ago, I can appreciate the amount of skill and hard work this took. Feel free to use those flightplans as the basis for new flightplans if you want. At t...

Re: Converting DDS textures to DXT3 for use in FS9
Wouldn't it be far easier if FSX painters also saved their finished 24 bit file as a .Dxt3 texture to create the choice. Process: - open the 24 bit paint in Dxtbmp - add the alpha - save as .DXT3.bmp Takes 25 seconds (just timed it), the image is not degraded through double compression and multiple...

I just uploaded version 2 of the package, which includes the FS9 scenery converted by TheFoufure. Huge thanks to him for his efforts on this. It should be available shortly.

Re: Indian C-130J-30 opinions
FS9 scenery is in work. I also have to make some updates to fix a few minor bugs that Pete Bramley pointed out. When all of this is complete, I will upload a new version of the package including the FS9 scenery. Thanks to TheFoufure and petebramley for their help on this.

Re: Indian C-130J-30 opinions
If TheFoufure is able to convert it better you sent it to him. I am not able unfortunatly. Thanks. If you send me the ADE file, I can compil it for FS9, yes. I will send it you bask in FS9 format for sharing. TheFoufure, I just sent them to your email. If you send me the BGLs when finished, I can u...

Re: Indian C-130J-30 opinions
Jim:
Your repaints inspired me to breathe new life into an old project - FSX scenery for Hindon. I also did scenery for VEPH as well, since the default FSX VEPH is just a runway. Your C-130s look right at home. I uploaded it to the library, so it should be available shortly.

Here's the fixed flightplan text file and fixed FS9 and FSX traffic BGLs to correct the issue with Jayhawk 6037. I'll add Joe's pilot texture and upload the updated package today.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
The second leg starts at 21:23 on day 5 and ends at 00:42 on day 5. This makes the flight almost a week long. You need to change the end time to 6/00:42, and then change all the subsequent days to match. Hope this helps. Thank you. I see it now. D'oh! Good catch. This is one downside to being old-s...

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Now that the MH-65 has been converted for FSX, I am working on a package for CGAS Kodiak, Alaska. I've done repaints for the MH-60s and HC-130Js using MAIW paintkits, but I haven't been able to find a paintkit for the MH-65. Does anyone know if one exists? If there isn't one, does anyone know how to...

Re: Paul Revere
A while back, I was working on repaints and flightplans for various testbeds, including Lincoln Labs. For that, I did a generic FSX scenery for KBED, KBWI, and KSTL. I used the NAAI 707 for the Paul Revere. In addition to the 707, G-II, Falcon 20, and DHC-6 of Lincoln Labs, it has the 757 F-22 testb...

Re: ATAC & Draken International
I did repaints of the Hunters, Kfirs, and L-39s a few years ago, but I didn't have a complete list of tails, so I did what I could. My FS9 and FSX packages are available in the MAIW library. If someone could provide an updated tail listing, I would be glad to update the packages.

Re: MGAI - KC-135R AK & HH
For all AMC aircraft (and their AFRC/ANG associates), callsigns are more mission-specific than unit-specific. Each unit will have their own for local training missions and others for missions tasked by AMC HQ (example for AK/HI KC-135s would be a tasking to drag fighters across the pacific). During ...

For those who downloaded my Indian Navy package, here are updated traffic files removing my P-8s so as to be compatible with John Young's package. Simply replace your old traffic file with the appropriate file here.

Re: New Qatari C-130Js
I thought Ray Parker's Qatari C-17s were lonely, so I did the C-130s and PC-21s and added flightplans for Mike Pearson's Mirages. I just uploaded it, so it should be in the library soon.
