Re: NAS Patuxent River package by Desmond Burrell
Thanks for that. In ADE use Tools, go to Add Folder and extract objects to the ADE object library. Worked for Pax River and most scenery except for ACG types. I've never republished any of my airports so no worries on that. Published a few Images under the Screen Shot forum a while back. At Pax Rive...

Re: NAS Patuxent River package by Desmond Burrell
https://i.imgur.com/I7wKt5h.jpg FS9 user. Is there a way to change the object placement and taxiways to align with MegaScenery photoreal ground? I had some success with ADE moving aprons but when buildings are moved to the location that lines up with MegaScenery the original location remains and wi...

Re: Duke Field package by MAIW
Done. KEGI with the MAIW scenery is at the right altitude and looks great. Brent Newman's Libby AAF KFHU is in the right spot. Eliminated anything in the whole FS9 folder that said KEGI or KFHU. Eliminated KFH2. Installed both MAIW packages from scratch. Used the KEGI with full scenery. (So much bet...

OK. Thanks for the guidance. I'm off to do my assignment. Ironically, I've sent donations to Scruffy Duck but never bought the ProKey. I was trying to keep things simple.Untill now at least.

Re: Duke Field package by MAIW
Steve - You're going to love this. 4700 feet is the altitude of Libby AAF in Arizona KFHU. (Thanks Brent). I built a satellite field for that area and called it KFH2. Except the Airport ID was given KEGI instead of KFH2. Oversight? Confusion? Poor eyesight? I don't know. The Arizona KEGI /KFH2 was g...

Re: Duke Field package by MAIW
https://i.imgur.com/BQpCxyD.jpg?1 Any idea how to fix this? KEGI shows up at about 4,700 feet. In the Map View the information by the airport shows 4700' elevation. Opening in ADE9 the Airport Properties and runway elevations show correct 192' "Airport Reference" also shows correct altitu...

Re: Fort Polk Expanded
Seek permission to share anything which is modified, then publish it with a list of required libraries and AI aircraft packages... then it wont break anyone's copyright :) AND I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see it! SeanG Ok SeanG, I'll give it a shot. I guess I need someone to test...

Re: Fort Polk Expanded
DMdoc - This was FS9 and was shared under the "show us your eye candy" invitation for this part of the forum. It's just a personal project never really meant to be placed on public platform. Probably would not translate well because it uses about 13 different libraries. Besides, I think I ...

Fort Polk Expanded
Sometimes a simple ADE project gets out of hand. All I wanted to do was add additional aircraft and increase the tempo of helo ops between the various FOBs and training areas. Fort Polk gets a lot of visiting units for pre-deployment and summer Guard training. No problem. Write new flight plans for ...

Scale and Pitch
As a recovering model railroader I'm conscience of scale when building out scenery. Some buildings and trees in some libraries look too small or too large. So I started messing around with the Scale and Pitch feature on ADE. Sometimes a desirable hanger is a couple meters too small to realistically ...

Re: Bolling HP
So embarrassed. Just downloaded the HMX package last week. Didn't see an AED file for BOL and didn't open the manual. Just used the helos for the moment. I get the bit with the short runways for helos, but I think I remember seeing in a Blackhawk package that the runway needed to be at least 900 fee...

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Years ago I opened up a box of electronic equipment and there was a card inside with 1 inch letters: "Before You Try It Your Way, Try It Our Way First." Sort of applies here. I must have messed up installing two packages. MAIW UK Apache Bases was in Addonscenery/scenery and WAH-64 Apache A...
