Re: FS9 Crash at Start Up
It turned out to be one of my modules; fsbrowser.dll. I really like that module, too. For some reason FS9 doesn't like it anymore. I ended up reinstalling FS9 (but backed up my old install). The new install ran fine and then I started replacing folders from my backup. When I replaced the modules fol...

Re: FS9 Crash at Start Up
Thanks Mike. Unfortunately, I don't get that far in the start-up. I get as far as the initial splash screen, then the index pop message, then the database rebuilding message. It completely disappears immediately after that. It's about 35 seconds to a minute into startup process after I click the FS9...

FS9 Crash at Start Up
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this. I'm running FS9 on WindowsXP, nothing special. Nvidia 9800GTX video card, 2GB Ram, 300GB partition on a 1TB harddrive, with an Intel Core 2Duo E6700. No over-clocking. Nowhere close to a full hard drive. Tons of AI and scenery, with prett...

djnocturnal has a great set of the F-15 skins over at the Paint Shop area for download. Looks real fine to me. If you want, there's a pretty good KGTF scenery as part of the Montana Unleashed package (montanau.zip) by Lauren Robison. It's over at Avsim. I made small cosmetic changes to the afcad, th...

Question about NASA repaint for Nick Black's F-15B/D
This is actually a question for anybody. I'm trying to do a NASA repaint of Nick Black's F-15B/D (#836), and I wanted it to be clean (no tanks or armorment), but there doesn't seem to be an avaliable model for the two seater. The only one I can see is one with a centerline tank. That's OK, but it al...

Looks familar - yup. I had the same problem with the eagles in the Seymore Johnson package. But strangely not with any others. Anyway, after a lot of trial and error, I went into the aircraft.cfg. Changed: empty_weight_CG_position = -5.00, 0, 1.0 to: empty_weight_CG_position = -4.00, 0, 1.0 This fix...

I've been doing them for years and I almost always screw a plan up the first time I write one. It's kind of tedious, and if you're like me and like to do weeklies, it get's real easy to make a mistake. I like to make mine all VFR so that the planes do real touch and goes, but VFR TNGs are kind of if...

Nice. Reminds me - I must get around to updating them with the clear reflective canopies!!! Actually, I ve been playing around with the paintkit and the canopy appears to be clear and reflective (maybe I'm doing something wrong?). Anyway, I've attached a couple of screenies. These are N864NA and N8...

OK - it's just that last year there were a lot of pics of the various T-38s that were in the works (including the NASA T-38s), and most of them looked like they were ready to go. I had my hopes up since then that something was coming down the pipe and just wanted to know if I should keep my hopes up...
