OK here are two screenshots of Domna AB in Siberia. It is a major MiG-29 base (presumably as its close to China!). The HAS are not correct for Russian use but they do for the moment. I don't know where I found the AI MiG-29 from, but its in the old Russian AF scheme. One day when we have a MAIW vers...

From what I can tell the Soviet /Russian ones are buried under soil with very thick blast doors. I assume that under the soil there is bomb-proof shelters. From the Google Earth photos they look stronger than the RAF / NATO ones.

Hi One thing is on my GMax list is a Soviet / Russian HAS. They are totally different to NATO versions. The ones at Domna are partly buried in the earth so they look like small hills. Anyone know what Russian military control towers look like? I'm using an API macro which looks vaguely Soviet! John

Hi I'm using SceneGenX (the FS9 version of Airport), AFCAD, RWY12 and for the trees a program, which AFAIK has never been released to the public, called TreePlaneter. I have made custom scenery using GMax which I may do for specific buildings, e.g. Engels only major building which is a 'H' shaped bl...

I've been busy too. Here is Engels. I'm currently making scenery for Domna AB (MiG-29 base), this should be finished by end of the week.

Memory better than I thought it was: http://www.fsgateway.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=43&topic=37586 john. I'll be surprised if he will be using pure multi-LOD AI aircraft. I have all of his packages and fine as they are the some of the AI a/c are based on existing high-poly, low (o...

I'm figuring that "the package" will have to logically be broken down into a number of packages.... Yes that is how I see the MAIW release too. I see a complete bomber package, a transport package and training / misc package. The scenery / afcad package would be separate and released at t...

The IRIS 'AI' MiG-29 has 57490 polys and 1 LOD. I wouldn't want to use as an AI aircraft personally!

I do believe we have someone building a dedicated AI version though...

That's RAF Fairford. It hosts the largest international mil airshow in the world. We often get RAAF, Brazilian Air Force C-130s (their crews run a continuous Samba party under the wings of their bird!), plus the Russians and Israeli aircraft. If you are ever coming to the UK make sure its that weeke...

Great screen shots. I just love these Russian a/c. I've found Putin's IL-96 as an AI and now he's jetting around the world :D

Actually he flies in a Russian State Transport IL-96, but I suspect its been modified a tad

Hi Carl Yes I've got the AI package but the AI Models although excellent only have one LOD. To be a really FPS friendly AI a/c you need to have many LODs. Most have between 5 to 7 LODS. This is why MAIW will be producing our own. Plus they will have more 'eye candy' e.g. boarding ladders, ground equ...

Some time ago I've made flightplans for a few Russian a/c visiting the Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. These include 2 x Su35, 1 x An26, 1 x Tu134UBL and 1 x An22 [vintage?!]. Unfortunately I am too busy at the moment with 'real life' to make a package of these plans. For those who are interested I can...
