Thanks Mike,
Let's have blue fire compared to "follow the smoke and find the Phantom"... or not?

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Thx Mike, good answer, fully understood. I use the HTAI air file and cfg updated for FSX, from this forum. And to be honest, I'm like *very* tired of trying to fix effects myself, so the ball is yours. Not mine. I LIKE it that way  Fox One me for this. I did NOT want to say "updated c...

Mike, get this one: https://militaryaiworks.com/download-ha ... n-packages
F-16's world wide in one package. But they use the old "nuclear" AB, so this I did replace.

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Mike, I edited the lifetimes in your effect from 40, 40 and 50, 50 to 60, 60 and 70, 70. Now the HTAI F-16 is perfect, effect coming on at the right time, and burning properly in the climb for a while. May I upload this effect with my planned HTAI RNoAF F-16 repaints/flightplans package? I will give...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
John, thanks for the comprehensive info. I know some nav lights are hardcoded on the model itself, from experimenting on my huge P3D4 civil AI fleet and checking with ModelConverterX. I have edited the default navredhi, navgrehi and navwhite with success, and gone are all the bright suns on the wing...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Mike,
Tried your new AB effect on the RNoAF F-35A by just modifying the F-15 effect line in the aircraft.cfg. Great stuff! I then copy-pasted the content to the F-16 effect, but AB goes off just after liftoff. Any ideas? (Don't bother if you don't want to)

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
John, agreed regarding new "pure P3D" models. For older models (where some had to get reduced bounding boxes), known solutions is to put more nodes in the afcad turns, and for me at ENBO, give up the heading of the Dashes when parked, and align them to the taxiline. It is truly a battle to...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
I think some of the departures from taxi line has to do with many old AI aircraft still have the FS9 radius/bounding box. You can see this in AI Aircraft Editor or McX. After conversion, I think the bounding box has to be reduced. For example I have my updated TFS Dashes (the new ones with LUA scrip...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
John,
Been testing the P3D4 version with success at ENOL. The resemblance to the real world is simply eerie, and I cannot tell Dino's 5087 from your version. I have sent you a filemail with the latest Airports of Norway, so you get a proper ENOL to test with.
Cheers,
Andrew

Weird indeed, I expected to see this tested elsewhere, but I guess the two artist's impression pre pics wasn't using RNoAF just for fun :-p

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Lovely airports Andrew. The F-35A's will be quite at home there. I've PM'd you my e-mail address. As soon as I have the Norwgian aircraft done for the 3 sim versions, I'll send you a copy so you can set them up according to the information currently available. John Great! I just mailed you the shot...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Ørland ENOL is supposed to be our main base (totally whacked decision btw). And last I heard was four QRA planes at ENEV, and I think the last word about this aren't said yet. I have been working hard for years to make ENBO, ENOL and ENEV realistic, and compatible with F-16's, F-35's and a lot of ot...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
John, Thanks a lot for including the RNoAF F-35 paints. We now have three birds at ENOL, and I already use your F-35C's there, from VF-101. I have sent you a PM with a few pics, including the chute pod. I also have Dino's F-35 now flying in P3D4.1, with a seemingly correct RNoAF paint (5087), and ca...

Re: Retro RAF Alconbury
Hælvette, now I finally have planes everywhere at Alconbury. Was about to Alco (n) Bury myself after a few beers, then realized I use 15% for max AI traffic on my sliders, usually setting 1-15% for Civil, and 1-10% for military. Thank you for another great package.

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
I slice planes and then extrude downwards rather than using Booleans if I can Foxbat, but sometimes the shape, like the serrated edges on some doors on the F-35 make that more difficult than using a Boolean shape to cut out. Booleans just need a lot of work to re-align and weld vertices or the mesh...

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)
Hi John, This is great news, as our first norwegian F-35 are landing at Ørland ENOL this week, if I'm not offset by a few beers this weekend. About avoiding Booleans, I use them all the time. Been using those since 3DSMax3.0. Only thing happening now and then, is if you by accident rotate a vertice,...

Re: AI AgustaWestland Wildcat & Merlin iHC3 /HC4
Looking very much forward to this one, hope the Norwegian version will be modeled. I can send you a few pics of the first one if you want me to. I made a 330sqn repaint package for your Blackhawk meanwhile, to replace the the Sea Kings for P3D4. It can be found here: http://flightsimnorway.com/addon...

Re: Prepar3d v4
John, I recently resurrected 330 Sqdn with your Jayhawks for P3D4, which is my only sim now. I think backward compability is removed. I exported one of my airports with ADE using the P3D4 compiler and sent to my friend using FSX - bang he got CTD. A little offtopic I now look for a updated Merlin he...

RNoAF 330 Squadron
Since we're still waiting for the Merlin RL and in the sim world for P3D4, I resurrected RNoAF 330 squadron with John's Jayhawks :) Download link: http://flightsimnorway.com/download/file_download.php?file=AI_Repaints_RNoAF_330_squadron_Jayhawks.zip&p=repaints&fid=203 http://i.imgur.com/Uhgr...
