Re: Will This Work . . . . .
Lol...Brings back a memory for me from my time on active duty in the US Army back in the early 1980's. I was attending the US Air Force Strategic Deployment Course at Tinker AFB and saw a plywood mock-up of a C-5B Cockpit that pilots used for practice and procedures certifications. Back then compute...

Re: PAI Installer error
No problem at all John... I work as a Construction Project Manager here in the US since retiring from the US Army. I will be traveling all day tomorrow and have meetings all day Monday. Just let me know what you need when you are ready and I will get the files to you as soon as possible.

Re: PAI Installer error
I have had similar problems with both the PAI installer and WOAI installer. I found the error in my cases to be caused by the installers requiring DOT NET 1.1 support. Each time windows 10 has an update I run a couple of registry cleaners to get win10 to allow it to work again. That said, I have all...

Re: Alphasim USS Enterprise
John,
I have it. Will be glad to send a copy to you. I don't have the original zip file any longer, but do have all the files installed in fs9 on my system and a backup of the files.
I'll dig it out for you later today and send it however you want.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
Just a guess, but they look like E models to me. Note the wire going from the fuselage to the tail structure on the bottom picture (134).

Haul Out The Paint Cans...
Looks like some more new repaints will be on the horizon...can't wait for the resident experts to roll'em off their assembly lines.

Re: Anybody Have Info Please?
Very cool guys!! Thanks for the quick information and paint to boot...Would never have thought to associate a C-130 unit with an RB-57 unit past or present.
I quess this is or was fairly common practice in the AF to jump between a/c types over time?

Anybody Have Info Please?
Wondering if anyone has any information (what it represents) on the special paint job on this C-130H out of Little Rock AFB... May be a good candidate for a repaint if worthy of the time and effort of the resident repaint geniuses! https://strategypage.com/military_photos/military_photos_20190302131...

If I recall correctly this file or something similar was included as part of the scenery for a Taiwan AF package released or distributed here some time ago.
Re: FSX gone!
Good info... I am getting ready to get a new laptop with 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD. Will try what you suggest and install FS9 to HDD versus SSD which I am sure is where all of the WIN10 OS will be. Only question I have is do you take any kind of hit on FPS by installing to separate HDD or Partition? Thanks
Re: FSX gone!
Steve, Search for articles concerning WIN10 and User Account Controls and System Administrative Rights and Permissions. Look for articles dated back when WIN10 first came out. Everyone was trying to overcome installation issues at that time associated with older XP/WIN7 software. A number of good ar...
Re: FSX gone!
I have installed / re-installed FS9 to my WIN10 laptop numerous times with no problems. The caveat being that after the initial install from the CDROMS, I run the program one time as noted, and I then edit the permissions for the directory to give me full and unchallenged control. I then install the...

PHNL Plane Watching
While kicking back for a bit this evening caught two F-15E's from the 366FW 391FS (BENGL 13 and 14) on approach to PHNL followed a few minutes later by a KC-135R from 154W 203 ARS (HOKU 21). Much thanks to all the folks at MAIW for the hard work put into this kind of enjoyment!!! :D https://imagesha...

Re: East Coast A-10 Demo Team 2007
Hey Chris... I have that package for Moody. You are also correct in pointing out that these are travel pods. I was under the impression that while they were travel pods, they had the same characteristics as drop tanks, but that does not appear to be so. The RWAI models included a LONG RANGE configur...

Re: Project Screaming Eagle
Thanks for the great tips on gmax (John). I have loaded up gmax now as well and many of the functions are similar to blender but will require some tinkering with to become proficient with it. Status update on the project ... I have located some new imagery sources so am making needed adjustments to ...
