Re: MAIW_WSMG F-16's
I haven't tried the DXT3 ones but I did test the 32bit I-52 ones to test the Sufa's. What I found is that the textures looked all gloss in MCX/AIAE. When I looked further I found that they weren't 32bit but 24bit, with no alpha. I exported the alpha from the one texture I had and imported it. Althou...

Re: MAIW_WSMG F-16's
OK the production line has restarted as the mods are being made available. I still plan on working my way up the blocks and will report when each one is done. At the moment I am receiving two seaters so still can't clear block 30. Just to note that all are now getting reflective canopies as they are...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
I haven't spoken to Greg since the first of the upgrade work but I definitely saw some changes on the web page after last weekend. One of the changes being that there is a download link now on the header. It doesn't actually go the Hangar yet, just a holding page, but it shows that everything is mov...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
The thing is Tim, that there is no timescale on the other airfields. If you want to take more time to get them to the level that satisfies you then do it. The way to think of it is that you are actually doing 6(maybe more) packages all at the same time. If you think of it that way then you will auto...

Re: No AI Traffic
What I meant was that there are two sliders, Airline traffic density and General aviation traffic density.
I seem to recall that depending upon what the callsigns they would come under one or the other.
If you are debugging make sure that both are set to 100% to make sure you see everything.

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
From my non-building experience here you would need to break the project into smaller chunks for testing anyway. You couldn't test everything all at once. What I would do is start with the core of the project. Test everything in that. You are then able to release that whenever you choose. Once you h...

Re: ai aircraft on a carrier
The normal reason that an aircraft can't make a turn is that its speed is too high. Now rather than alter the default taxy speed the simple way around it is to add more normal nodes in the taxiway just before the turn. Each node slows the aircraft down. The slower the aircraft the tighter it turns. ...

Re: MGAI/MAIW KC-135
There were definitely 2x models done with the TF33 engines. The OC-135B Open Skies and the WC-135W Constant Phoenix.
Whether they were converted to FSX I can't be positive but there is a thread 'Re: MAIW MGAI Boeing xC-135 Family Conversion Support ' that seems to indicate that they were done.

For those that like to know such thing the 18th AGRS are now the 18th FIS.
Whether they will continue to provide aggressor services was not immediately announced.

It sounds like what you might need is SAMM. Have a look at Martin's page for it and download it and try it out.

Re: Urgent Forum Maintenance
Understand your issue, John. I make these comments without speaking to Greg or Martin. From what I understand it is not immediately possible. The Forum is what it is and there is a limit on the size of file that can be attached in a post. I think that if we could get the FTP access from the website ...

It has to said that the work was done by Greg, with Martin watching in the wings and providing ideas and insight.

Re: AI Aircraft Editor Version 4.2.1 released
The fact that you said that you haven't had it for years leads me to believe that you still have some part of it left in the registry. Do a quick check using regedit. If you go to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator' and see if there is a 10.0 folder t...
