Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

I will admit that I was surprised that the SDK will not be initially released as I thought I read somewhere that the SDK would be part of the beta. If quite a bit is missing from the IOC version then it seems to make sense to release it when everything is ready. Otherwise you either have to update t...

Re: RAF Shawbury UK2000

Further to what John suggests. There is something that can be a bit hit and miss but I have found works. The individual scenery files are loaded one after the other in alphabetical order, in a folder,. Which is why you will find some files prefixed with '000_' or '0_'. This is so that excludes of de...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

If there is stuff missing from the initial release it will be interesting to see if all upgrades are free, taking into account the pricing of the 3 versions. If it is life time free upgrades with specifics mentioned to come, then I would be hard-pressed to be angry about that. I was disappointed to ...

Unfortunately, I got rid of my RAF Yearbooks some time ago. I can help with memories but nothing more concrete than that.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

Thanks for the update, Tim.
I think I will wait for the important stuff (to me) to be released before I go down that route. It smacks of getting it out early to get some money coming in to me.

Re: AI Aircraft Backtrack

I am not aware of any specific every time solution to this. Especially as each sim has its little differences in the AI engines. What I do know from my own experience is that a lot can depend on how far down the runway the aircraft reaches its taxy speed. What I mean here is that I have seen Typhoon...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

Further to John's thoughts. They may all be intended to be the same colour however there is one big variation here - national standards. The first time that I became aware of this was in relation to the RAF F-4J(UK) aircraft. When the RAF ordered the 15x a/c to supplement their F-4 fleet the colours...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

Thanks for the issue with my post, I had a lot of trouble trying to post the link and ended up doing all sorts of stuff to get it to work and goofed. I read some more on the scheme colours and it seems that this subject seems to have been round and round the arena for some time. It seems that...

https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/50168-typhoon-reference-information-updated-with-corrected-italian-typhoon-colours/ I can see what you mean about the tanks. I am wondering if the cause is that the tanks are all made by the same company and they just paint them one colour. I kno...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

Dan, Something else I thought of. Back in my day it was rare for flights on a Friday. Normally it was for flight tests and such like. The reason was to allow the Sqn engineers time to fix little niggles that had built up over the week so that we had max numbers of a/c for the Monday push. Aircrew go...
