Hi John,
He is following the WoAI style of naming. Wi23-24 means Winter schedule 2023-2024. Kinda superfluous for Mil stuff.
The download hangar is currently disabled. We're doing our best to bring it back as soon as possible.

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Maybe I should clarify for people out there. The FTP server is there for people working on collaborative projects so that they can easily share what needs to be shared to progress a project. Some work gets finished, some does not. We have found over the years that people are more productive when the...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
OK, the GP has squeaked back that he has replicated the fix. He also does not have an MCX key so in theory we could provide instructions on how to do it.
Providing that we can sort out the lightmap issue plus Jim also found an issue with the wheels and is investigating.

If I maybe so bold, Why do you need access to the FTP server?

Re: Dans bits & bobs
I am not sure you can, Martin. Purely because I think that everybody would need the unrestricted animation export license for MCX. We can surely try with a Guinea Pig and I can give instructions on what to look for and change. If Jim wants to be that GP, if he PMs me I can tell him what to do. The s...

Re: Dans bits & bobs
As it happens, when Martin asked me if I would like to test MCX conversions, that package was the very one that I chose to do. I too found that issue but was able to rectify it, once I realised the cause of it. The biggest issue is the weird FSX/P3D paint layering that it has. It works fine but woul...

Re: WSMG F-16
OK I think I may have got myself confused somewhere and thought that Kev's textures were originally 2048, but having double-checked what I can see I appear to mistaken and that they are indeed 1024. What I got mixed up with was that all the textures need to be redone for 32bit so that they can be co...

Re: WSMG F-16
You may get them, Joseph but we have not discussed them at all so I can't be more definite than that. However, it must be said that these were the work of Mike JG. He did not convert them because he only had FS9. So for P3D versions of those would have to be built by Kev. Same as he would do for the...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
I will certainly try.
Martin may have the knowledge required but It was one of those things that I was never given responsibility for.
At the very least I should be able to setup the folder. I will see what I can do.

Re: WSMG F-16
We aim to make it as comparable as possible to each sim. The one model difference will be that FS9 refuses to accept Attached Lights, with the exception of Taxi and Landing lights. However, it does mean that I can now attach the landing lights to the undercarriage doors which gets around an age old ...

Re: RAF Lakenheath for FSX/P3D
Glad it is partially solved. Now all you have to do is work out the problem with the traffic file.
Load it up into AIFP3 and validate it. If it looks fine according AIFP then start looking at the textures involved with the aircraft from that traffic file.

Re: RAF Lakenheath for FSX/P3D
The first thing that you should check is that it is scenery related. What makes me say this is normally the last thing loaded before the game springs into life is the traffic files. So, what i would do is move all of your traffic files to a safe folder. Don't forget traffic files can be in any activ...

Re: AI Aircraft Editor Version 4.2.1 released
Complete guess here, Tim, but do you think that it might be to do with an xml addon that P3D allow? Is there any way that you can check it/them easily?

Re: JYAI F15
Just a little note to say that today I uploaded a little mod for all of JY's F-15 models for FS9, to the Hangar. It has added slime lights and fixed an issue with the afterburners. This release was approved by him. I do feel however that the following statements need to be made on his behalf to avoi...

Mexico has the P-99 Maritime version too, with a large radome under the fuselage like the R-99 but with an added hump on the top of the fuselage towards the nose. John Yes, i saw that pic on wikipedia. I thought that the radome looked larger than the R-99B then I realised that it doesn't have the S...

Sorry Steve, I meant to include the Indian AWACs in my intentions too. They have slightly different antennae plus a refuelling probe.

Was not aware of that, John. Thanks though.

Re: Thoughts on the next project
John, ... after the C-99s and you are still in bizjet mode you could do worse than look at the C-37, sorry the EA-37B, Compass Call aircraft. Along with that version you also have the IAI CAEW for Israel/Italy/Singapore. Another offshoot is the MC-55A Peregrine Elint aircraft for the RAAF. It seems ...

Nice work, John. Incidentally, the Indians have the AEW version as well. They have 4 in service with another 4 on the way.
