What? DJ you are testing even my patience.
There must be something that you are doing, or maybe not doing. So following the nhancer thread made no difference to you at all, even with AA switched off in FS9?

Re: Odd Problem
That looks a very useful tool, Martin, as does AI Aircraft Editor , but on this occasion the problem was caused by not updating the file in ascii mode. I think that using another tool that can write in another format, i.e. RTF, may complicate things for what is required here.

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
Apparently, the problem maybe that you already have a higher version installed but not activated. Try reading through this thread. http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-pro ... dows7.html

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
after loking through my installed programs I noticed that I don't have .net 3.5 framework installed, only 1.1. I would have thought the program wouldn't run if I didn't have it? I will try installing 3.5 and see what happens. I would agree with that thought. I suppose that you don't need 3.5 to edi...

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
Well its all very strange. Unless you have a security reason stopping you altering the screen mode. I have never heard of an nvidia user being unable to fix the problem this way, unless they were using Vista. To give you an example I just duplicated the amended one, altered the executable to FSRepai...

Re: Odd Problem
I think the problem is caused by a text editor. The aircraft list gets its name from the two parms in the fltsim entry. ui_manufacturer=Nick Black AI ui_type=F/A-18C Hornet The fact that yours says 'Nick Black AI\par F/A-18C Hornet\par' says to me that your two lines have characters at the end of th...

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
DJ,
If you are not having any luck with this, one thing does occur to me. This maybe a stupid question but you have got an Nvidia graphics card haven't you?

In which case BAe is probably trying to suggest to the MOD that its a good idea not to put all their eggs in the F-35 basket.

Re: Odd Problem
What text editor are you using? That \par looks like a sort of code that is interpreted by a postscript printer or something similar. Maybe a file corruption.

Re: Question about VC's
Simply put a VC is built into the mdl, so unfortunately not. I believe you can alter the gauges in VC, but you can't alter anything else.

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
Both are fine for me. What Mike seems to be saying is that the full screen is catered for by the AA:Enhanced function but the windowed mode isn't. You have to force it to use a set mode to clear them in both modes.

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
Well I would be tempted to say possibly, but everybody else seems to get it to work so I am tempted to think initially that its something that you haven't done rather than doing wrong. So you have cloned the built-in FS9 and unchecked the 'Enhance in-game AA setting? You absolutely must do this. I f...

Re: help the unsure
Having done some online military stuff in the past I can say that there is no automatic refuel option when you connect up to a tanker. You have to kick off a transfer manually and obviously stop the transfer manually as well. I just set up a button on the joystick to do this. If you want to simulate...

Re: Pilots and ATC...React!
I know exactly what you are saying, Mike. The trouble is that everybody is scared of hindsight. I can't remember too many of the details but around a decade ago I seem to recall that a Russian airliner crashed and it was found that the pilots kids were alone in the cockpit, with the autopilot on, wh...

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
It shouldn't matter, but check to see if the version that you are using specifically mentions that its W7 compatible. It may be that W7 expects something slightly different.
You could also try making sure that AA is switched off in FS9. I think I had to do that for mine.

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
Glad that I made sense and that it worked. I always use windowed mode, unless I screenshoot, so that might be the reason that it never worked for me. Also I seem to remember that the instructions say to turn off the FS9 internal AA which may account why my full screen didn't work either until I nHan...

Re: FS2004 With Win 7 64 Bit and NVIDIA GT 240M Graphics Card
The problem is the default FS9 settings, and nHancer is the way to fix it. If you look at the FS9 default profile you will see that the AA setting is enhanced. To enhance the built in game setting. This is total crap. What you need to do is to force AA and AF settings that are good for you. For me I...
