Re: Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
All the modelling and painting is now done for FS9 and FSX. The latest additions are the JGSDF aircraft and as special request from Miljan, 2 aircraft from SMATSA (Serbia and Montegro Air Traffic Services), used for calibration: http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss323/Bitmap512/King%20Air/Flightlin...

Re: Lots of planes.
Most flight plans have a variable percentage applied to each aircraft. Try moving the traffic setting slider to the left to see if that cuts down the number of aircraft visible. If it doesn't, you can edit the flight plan and apply a percentage yourself.

Re: Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
Thanks for the explanations. That's helped a lot. Right now, I'm back on track with the Japanese Coast Guard having the right engines (no lockers): http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss323/Bitmap512/King%20Air/Flightline_JCG_zpswniha1us.jpg Now I can move on to the Japan Ground Self Defence Force, w...

Re: Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
A font of all knowledge as I said! Just a quick update then. The Coast Guard model in the screen shot above has the wrong engines. I've nearly finished changing them out. I've encountered 3 shapes so far: 1) Large hump on the top of the engine with the rear of the fairing extending behind the wing (...

Re: RC-12s/RU-21s?
I'm in the process of making a series of AI Beechcraft B300/350 specials, but I've also modelled the RC-12X which is based on the Beechcraft B200. This is the topic: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/forums/18/16049 The flight dynamics are set up for AI and not flyable aircraft, they are multi-LOD and ...

Re: Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
Thanks everyone for your kind comments and technical information. I've finished the 16 aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force and the first example of the Japan Coast Guard: http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss323/Bitmap512/King%20Air/JGCG_zpsaflfq93m.jpg This particular example has two interes...

Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
Martin asked me before Christmas if I would consider making the RAF Shadow R1 which is based on the Beechcraft B350 Super King Air. We've long had the B200, which is about 3ft shorter and with no winglets. In addition to the Shadow R1, the 350 is also a great opportunity to model some of the other &...

Re: Virtual Reality & FSX
Thanks for your kind comments DC1973. Some of the ACG designers are continuing their work - see Lakenheath for example on this forum and the ACG files are being hosted here too. I'm as busy as ever working with AI. Sounds interesting, but I don't think I could justify a VR headset. I don't do enough...

Re: RAF Lakenheath for FSX/P3D
Thanks Mark. I have the sound files you produced for a while back but if I remember rightly, you hadn't quite finished them. I think they sound fine - even the cat squeak is there. Do we run with what I have or do you want to do any more refining?

Re: Bell 206
Aha,sorry Jon, I was led astray by the references to FSX in the above posts. In that case forget about GUIDs, FriendlyNames and animation/viz tags. Designing for FS9 is a lot more straight forward because you can use standard part names. I wish I could advise you on exporting LODs with FSDS, but I u...

Re: Bell 206
I'm not clear at the moment Jon (jgowing) about what you are able to do and what you haven't tried yet. I think it would pay to have a methodology to your design rather than jumping forward to something that's quite advanced without having mastered the basics first, particularly so with FSX modellin...

Re: Propeller setting
Jon, you must put the prop_anim_ratio in each individual aircraft section of the aircraft.cfg file. It won't work in the General section. I made some props the other day and found by experiment that a value of 0.8 worked fine, but it varies for each prop size so try several values. I control the dir...

Re: JASDF Bases
Nice fix on the props Martin. I'm really not sure about making as much of the package as possible FSX coded as well. I wouldn't know how to re-draw the shore lines for FSX and converting the 4 Shinmaywa models would take 30 or so hours just for that element. It would be more motivating for me to spe...

Re: Propellor transparency of B29
The Rattlesnake Bomber Base is a retro scenery made by Zeb Gardner and Sidney Swartz and is for FSX. You will find it at Avsim if you search "Rattlesnake". It's a very complicated offering that uses some of my WWII aircraft (not included with the package) and a lot of user-flyable aircraft...

I've just uploaded the FSX version of the Japanese UH-60Js to the Download Hangar. The file is called: FSX JSDF UH-60s.zip and should be available once Mark has processed it.
