Great stuff as ever, mate! And bases in the making too, now!

Re: SBAI Kamov Ka-27 Heli
Yes, I know of the xml magic which has opened up possibilities lately, but SBAI previously used a different approach which made use of highly modified afcad files. There was a Russian language manual (came with the Mi-8?), but I never had any success with it. Sounds good if the Ka27 doesn't use that...

Well done, indeed, that looks great! I like the nose down attitude in the first picture, too. Haven't managed that yet.. Hi Jon, The nose down bit was complete fluke actually... but it works pretty well :) If you use Gmax I can send you a ready-to-link template? Oh and... http://i.imgur.com/HUrYVPG...

Option 2 gets my vote, so there can be some camo, and they'll look better as a unit.

Re: Custom Animations, GMax
There's always room for another helicopter! I'll bet there's more interest than you think.. and I'm very interested in how you fare with pitch animation, as I'm struggling with an FSDS Alouette at the moment.

Re: Helicopter animation effect
Mins, The question in your first post seems to concern the rotor rotation itself. I am trying to build my first helicopter, too (Alouette III), and it was a long time before I learned that you have to treat the rotors as propellers, and that all propeller rotations (at least for FS9) are around the ...

Re: Removal of VFR photoscenery
I'd be interested in that, too; wondered a few times how to identify which tile goes where. Not sure though if that fully addresses this particular issue, though. For example, in my sim, Brian Clark's excellent RAE Bedford and the VFR image sit side by side. Rather than have a gap in the scenery, wh...

If you take a look at the great circle track (Great Circle Mapper is a valuable tool), Gander looks an ideal stopover location.

It's a T-41A Mescalero, now mostly replaced although a few remain on charge.

Thanks, mate! It was great fun doing aeros in it but I've had to stop; such a big hole in my pocket all the money fell out..Smashing. I'll do a bit of research and get started over the next couple of weeks. Oh and Jon.....I've just about finished your repaint of G-BUUF.

Brian Clarke RAF sceneries FS9
Post Windows 10 transition I'm getting FS9 more or less as I knew it; just one current niggle.. all my Brian Clarke RAF sceneries have a complete lack of tree textures. Everything else is there. I've been through my back up and I can't find any textures missing, but clearly I am still missing someth...

There were no spaces, but the human factor was nevertheless to blame! I'd copied over too many of my old files. After uninstalling and a clean re-install, all is well. A lesson in doing it properly..
