Re: WSMG F-16
FS9 on Win10 is not a problem at all. When I transitioned to Win10 about three years ago I simply copied the complete FS9 folder from my backup drive to the new PC. It worked right from the start. Just a new FS9.cfg was created in a different location on Win10. I also did a new installation of FS9 o...

Thank you for the Mi-14 package.
Looks like 1009 received a new paintscheme:

Re: Dans bits & bobs
Really nice work Dan.
I also had the Polish Mi-14s in my list.
You might want to check the orientation of the Polish national markings on 1001.
I think this paint scheme is after 1993 so the markings should be reversed.

Re: Agusta A109's
John, those A109s look great. I remember having these issues of AI aircraft swapping between AFCAD files after landing from my work on the Patuxent River scenery. However I do not exactly remember which measure solved the issue, but here are a few suggestions you might want to try. Do not place the ...

Re: Seasonal texyures for an mdl
Hi Steve, Glad you found the issue. Two additional things that I remember: When making textures for bunkers I took a screenshot of the ground texture (land class) of the area where the objects will be placed during every season. That way the object will later perfectly blend with its surrounding col...

Re: Seasonal texyures for an mdl
Hi Steve, when I designed scenery objects many years ago I used Model Tweaker II to add the seasonal textures. As far as I remember this worked flawlessly. These questions may sound obvious, but: Your winter texture file looks different than your summer texture file so that you will recognise it in ...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
Converted the flyable Iris FS9 Tornado over to MSFS2020, has a few issues but im working on them.. also did a repaint for the Italian special as requested from a friend... Not bad for a 15 year old model from an archaic, outdated, antiquated, obsolete flightsim version! Sorry but I do not remember ...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Some points regarding the Luftwaffe repaints that caught my eye: I recommend checking the color of the fuel tanks: they appear much too bright. Also the panel lines on the tanks but also on the fuselage appear much too intense. What is that black area on the bottom fuselage below the cockpit of the ...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Hi John, I went through a few websites documenting daily Luftwaffe operations at Wittmund, Nörvenich, Neuburg and Laage. These are the day to day loadouts single seaters: 2 tanks, 2 Iris-T - Wittmund, Neuburg - QRA 2 tanks, 1 Iris-T, 1 ACMI pod 2 tanks only, (no inner pylons) 2 tanks, (no inner pylo...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Regarding reducing the number of models I have a suggestion: In case that there is no SOP regarding the use of air brake and/or drag chute would it be possible to add a condition regarding the day of the week: so on certain days it would use one or the other? The weapon loadouts of the AI Su-22 for ...

Hi John,
wow, what a surprise!
They look awesome.
What catches my eyes are those air to air missiles on the fuselage stations:
These fins look quite large for AIM-120 Amraams.
They look like Aim-7 Sparrows to me?

Re: US NAVY F-4's S-3A
Looking good. Many of these F-4s have already been painted for the Fernando Martinez F-4 AI model many years ago. They are all available and flightsim.com and AVSIM I assume these paints are for Mike Pearson's models? Something looks strange in this screenshot with the model on the ground. The gear ...
