Are you going to release the whole fleet?
You never know!
Part of the problem is getting the current schemes they are in ( Inc left, right, top and bottom). Most pics are old or can't be accurately dated.

Many thnaks, the only effect of the two parts (light_land, light_taxi) is to get the strange cone on the ground, right? Od does it have another effect as well? Is the cone on the ground a good idea? the cone-thing is really buggy. taxi light goes off any time the plane stops, at least on my machine...

You need a texture with an alpha channel. Alpha channel - Black areas - Come on with nav lights White areas - Come on with landing lights On the visible part of the texture - A white area representing a light splash on the tail - the alpha part should be black A white area representing a landing lig...

They are -
Lightmap - aircraft
Nightmap - buildings
You need a program for painting that allows you to create an alpha channel.

You are correct there Rob, I still had your beta version loaded, sorry about that. I do note that this is not a true AI as we know them. It has seven texture files and uses the old stemme_as_helicopter_1 as its airfile. Given the source file for this chopper, I'm sure MAIW could easily make it into...

Usual issue with quite a few aircraft -
Lack of quality 3-views WITH cross sections.
Can't do a lot without them.
Some manufacturers are willing to send you stuff if you email and ask them.

There are also several freeware AI sound enhancement packages where people have gone in and updated the default AI sounds to something more realistic using real aircraft recordings. I just downloaded one that I really like. Can't recall the name of it but it was on AVSIM. You can do that but it onl...

Not strictly true. There is/used to be a program called FSHotSFX that allowed you to change sounds for individual AI aircraft. Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=LAdd7gYCzCY Check this forum for workarounds tips etc http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=232657&hl=...

All prop anims spin around the z-axis, i.e z-axis is the centre of rotation.
If once you have set the axis correctly it spins the wrong way, rotate the z-axis so it is pointing 180 degrees to the direction it was pointing.

Mike - Remember you can split fuselage up (top, bottom and sides), texture each sub part seperately. Then in poly mode set the texture to custom for each poly. Rejoin all the parts, snap to scale and the polys retain the texture assign from poly mode. It was the only way to get the textures right on...

Just referencing your wire frame model picture you could definitely use less structure in the fuselage and tail boom areas, that would save a good number of polys I think. Have you tried deleting points and drawing new polys to fill in the gaps for the fuse? I agree with Mike here. I know it is ver...

Relatively simple to do. Just requires discipline when creating the model. Start off with a hierachical node that becomes the parent of all other parts whether directly or indircectly. Directly - The part is linked directly to the main hierarchical node. Indirectly - The part is linked to another pa...
