Yeah, probably steer clear of AFS. It's OK, but just OK.

I wondered about that -- wow, so this is an easy one to do at some point, once we get some idea what the numbers/markings will be.

Re: Navy unmanned vehicle squadrons
Ah, OK, this article below explains it better -- the operational concepts of the 'Chair Force' and it's new Naval equivalent are still pretty foreign to me. http://www.unmannedsystemstechnology.com/2017/02/us-navy-selects-forward-operating-base-mq-4c-triton/ Triton UAS uses a “remote split” operatio...

Navy unmanned vehicle squadrons
Looks like this might be a fun project. https://news.usni.org/2016/10/25/navys-first-operational-mq-4c-triton-squadron-stands-up-this-week We already have a RQ-4 package, featuring the Global Hawk, do we not? It would seem to me that the two models are similar enough, in appearance, that we could us...

Re: KNUW - NAS Whidbey Island (FSX AFCAD)
I would like to create some decent PR background for the base -- is the AFCAD pretty well aligned?

Re: Japanese air bases -- conversions appear to be underway
Damn -- that is impressive.
So Martin, I gather all of these are photo-aligned? If I run through and do some PR background, they should fit (with little or no adjustment)?

Re: NAS North Island Seahawks
Hey Victory103, I wonder if you did any time at NASNI? I was wondering what the normal SOP is for the fuel trucks there (where they drive, to avoid using the taxiways). I get the that helos use the fuel areas IRL but for the fixed wing aircraft, do the fuel trucks just drive on the streets?

Re: NAS North Island Seahawks
Anyway I withdraw the question. Yesterday I decided hell with it, I'll build my own objects.
Posted a couple of photos after one day of work -- obviously no textures just yet.

Re: NAS North Island Seahawks
Which libs are you referring to? Not even sure. John D did an update on the scenery package for KNZY that Jim S did, and so that is what I am using. Interestingly, it fits PERFECT on the photoreal backdrop that ORBX did for their FTX SoCal scenery. I guess Jim/John took care to line it up. But thos...

Re: NAS North Island Seahawks
I wonder if it would be possible to retexture these object libraries. Even if we just converted them to .dds textures that might help, particularly for FSX/P3D users.

Re: Japanese air bases -- conversions appear to be underway
Then the blog resumes coverage in Japanese of various other commercial sceneries and products.... and then he posts this> With this F - 2 effect also, we got Ken 's site "Eagle Drivers" to FS9 (FS 2004) for Tsukishi base scenery and optimized for P3D. (We converted to P3D in the same way a...

Japanese air bases -- conversions appear to be underway
This is impressive. Would love to get a download link for it. It appears some simmers in Japan are converting Brents Japan airbase sceneries to P3D and aligning them with photo-real backgrounds. http://fsx.o.oo7.jp/index.htm I'm just using plain old' Google translate, which I know is crappy, but it ...
