Oh okay I looked up BGM in Wikipedia and it was either the BGM-109 Tomahawk or BackGround Music
There's no option for that in FS2004 itself, but you could always alt+tab out of the programme, start a song/playlist in Media Player or iTunes or whatever, and tab back in...

This makes the actual subject, the aircraft, more prominent. Your audience is not interested in sky, sand and water :win...
