Hi Nick, Thank you for sharing what are very personal feelings regarding your decision to leave the Royal Air Force; the decision you came to I'm sure must have been quite difficult but nonetheless, you are becoming a part of something much more meaningful and much more fulfilling and much, much mor...

1987! I'm amazed they were still using that scheme. I was thinking of 1968 IIRC! I think they replaced the RF-101s. Yep tis true, they did - albeit with lo-viz national markings, just to spoil things  http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1092536/L/ BTW the Michigan ANG F-4C behind was actually ...

Incidentally, I only ever saw USAF F-4's in the UK in the SEA schemes you painted. The RF-4Cs wore the grey / white scheme when they first arrived but got painted in SEA later. Presumably for service in Nam. John I remember seeing a 26th TRW RF-4C at the Mildenhall Air Fete in 1987 in this scheme, ...

OK - here are my first attempts; a bit of hotch-potch pick 'n' mix bunch. I have only done one machine from each unit depicted here, but if anyone seriously wants a whole squadron worth, please PM me then I will do them but there will be no guarantees that I will be able to all of what is needed - r...

The one and only time I got to see a Tomcat was when the USS John F. Kennedy paid a visit to Portsmouth (UK) and I sat at Stokes Bay watching her, and could see most types in use on the deck, unfortunately there was no flying but hey........I always tried to go to Mildenhall Air Fete every year in t...
