Manfred, Simply incredible. Beside all the other things it is the streets that are killing me. They are... German streets, not FS streets. But everything has a level of detail that is overwhelming. Grass, ground textures, vehicles... It is the perfect scenery for the first appearance of the next of ...

Not sure what is more extraordinary, John. The way your models capture heart and soul of the real aircraft or how short the cycle has become from the first announcement to the result. It is simply outstanding. Thank you for another one.

Re: Adding AI aircraft from other Sources
If they show and depart or land then you have both fitting parking codes and are using the correct type of FS9/FSX traffic files. I now understand that everything works in principle, but the operation times does not meet your expectation. This can happen due the different timezones. Have a look at t...

Re: UKMIL Firefly question
Hi Joseph,
have a look here for a short explanation regarding atc_model and atc_type. Basically it is a setting that helps atc to address an aircraft more specifically. T76 would probably be a fitting entry here.

Hi Martin, I'm very new to MAIW (yesterday and today)! I have spent that time following your instructions to convert the packages to FSX. I don't suppose there is an updated guide anywhere to add the packages after Nellis to FSX? Cheers Harry Then welcome, Harry :D As Chris said - the process is id...

Re: Military AI and World of AI
First of all - you may have found the package links at The Owl's Nest, but as it is clearly stated each and every of these packages is from MAIW. Have you just installed the packages into your FSX? If so, that won't work. I have written a manual how to install MAIW packages into FSX. It is linked he...

Jeanpy,
The file aircraft.txt contains the needed entries for the aircraft.cfg. You need to have the Henry Tomkiewicz's F-16D model already installed.

You may want to download my AI Aircraft Editor (AVSim/FlightSim/Owls Nest) and run the validation against the respective folder. If there are issues with the installation, chances are good that it will tell you what it is.

This article here has a section saying: ... The main four-wheel bogie landing gear, the fuselage centre line twin wheel auxiliary gear and the twin wheel nose units are fitted with Goodyear tyres. The runway length for maximum take-off weight is 2,650m and the ground turning radius is 43.6m. ... Bu...

Brian,
Not sure if this can help you with your blurry issue. John Young posted a similar question at FSDeveloper, and in the back and forth with Arno this lead to a 100% solution for blurry FS9 mipmapped textures.
