Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Pending the updates being completed, I thought I'd just tease some of the work I've been doing over the last week. Re: RAF Tengah
You're right that it's about where you look. I trolled through nearly 9000 aerial images this morning on the Singapore government site and found a number of photos that are of use. They weren't specifically labelled Tengah. All sorts of details that no other sources that I've found do. I've downloa...

Re: RAF Tengah
There is actually quite a lot of information out there about the 1960s RAF, even the FEAF. But you do need to develop a keen sense of where and how to look. The Airfield Research Group, PPRuNe, Richard Flagg's various sites, and lots of Squadron Association and other 'old boys' sites will provide yo...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Ah, OK Steve. That's rather different from the understanding I took from the earlier discussion. In fact, I've never accessed it from the website and didn't know you could! But if it will remain directly accessible, that's great. I can put my website on the back burner for now and get on with the Br...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
John, I’ll put together a quick ‘how to’ for P3D lighting this morning.

Re: RAF Tengah
I’ve just spent an enjoyable hour or two researching Tengah. The taxiway centreline markings were more like a 10ft dash and a 30-40ft space! Not all of them were lit, but it would take a lot more research to find out which were and which were not. If you haven’t found it, singas.co.uk is a great res...

Re: RAF Tengah
The 2/10 dashes are the taxiway centrelines. Taxiway lighting was blue on one side, amber on the other. I’m racking my brains to remember which side was which colour - I think it was blue on the ‘inside’ (the side nearest the airfield centre), and green for any centreline lighting (which wasn’t comm...

Re: Urgent Forum Maintenance
Thanks Steve. I'm trying to learn some of the stuff that you're looking for answers to (though I have no intention of touching Joomla ever again - I've been burned by that before!). I'll let you know if I garner any knowledge useful to what you're trying to achieve.

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Update from Steve: https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/topic?p=213832#p213832 This suggests that we'll lose the FTP temporarily, not permanently. I can't do much to provide a Brazil substitute today, but between my Facebook page and website I'll get something up by the end of the weekend. Hopefully i...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Greg has confirmed that the forum will stay available, but the Hangar and FTP may not. I have no timescale more detailed than was mentioned earlier - within the next week or so. There are currently no viable proposals to replace the Hangar or recreate it on another server. You may want to ensure tha...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
All, the website I'm trying to put together to host the Brazil project (hopefully temporarily) is underway. It's at www.rubberdogshit.co.uk. It's not anywhere near complete, and it may be a week or more before it's set up as I'd like it. Right now, it's a mess and will probably appear very confusing...

John, I have a feeling those libraries are from the RWY12 scenery placement app. I don't know if it even exists any more.

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
The FTP now also has SBBI and SBSM, both modified stock airfields with phototiles and parking for all our supported types relevant to these airfields. I've also uploaded a part-complete traffic file for the Cessna Caravans, and updated the master document.
Now to try and put a website together....!

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Good to know, Ray. I have my OneDrive folder in the meantime, and I have enough storage for everything we have so far. I'll make sure it's up to date by tonight and in the same structure as the FTP. If this site goes down unexpectedly, I'll put details of how to get my stuff on my Facebook page: htt...

Re: Scenery and supporting AI for John's KC-390
Thanks for the clarification, Steve. So with that being said... Also this is (horrible) news to me as well; where are we supposed to go to get this new great stuff??? I believe that I can probably make some of it - the stuff without complex copyright considerations - available via a free site which ...
